GM - Onyx
The room is like any other room, really—a cabin with a door, and windows, and beds. But the fireplace never gets warm, and the beds are hard, and the air is cold.
(Is it familiar, this place? It's hard to tell . . .)
On the table there is food—water, and dry bread, and there is a pot of stew that always stays warm, and full, and smells delicious.
There are also five cards, waiting for your decision.

Of course I don't. But you're making this into... it's not a matter of "we play the ten card and we don't have to take the dark cards, or we don't play the ten card and we have to take the dark cards." It's not that simple.
