GM - Citrine
The room is like any other room, really—a cabin with a door, and windows, and beds. But the fireplace never gets warm, and the beds are hard, and the air is cold.
(Is it familiar, this place? It's hard to tell . . .)
On the table there is food—water, and dry bread, and there is a pot of stew that always stays warm, and full, and smells delicious.
There are also five cards, waiting for your decision.
[full instructions, of which your characters will be ICly aware of the pertinent details]

NIGHT TWO
HAND
Hand:
The glass slippers don't fit (4 points)
Hallucinations (5 points)
Constant nausea (3 points)
Swallowing glass (6 points)
A monster in the night (7 points
DARK CARDS
There is one red card as well, metallic around the edges. An extra punishment, perhaps?
Uncontrollable cravings (5 points)
Want and want and want and want . . . what? Anything. Surely something would satisfy this craving. Surely if you just try everything, something will help . . .
Slowly burning up (6 points)
A little warm at first . . . then hotter and hotter, until nothing will seem to cool our hero down.
Drained of blood (10 points)
It was an odd sensation, the hero felt, as if life itself was being drawn out of them, slowly . . . leaving them so cold, yet still animate, still able to move blue lips and lift cold fingers. Was this death? It hardly felt so nice as that.
Speaking in gemstones (1 point)
"I grant you," the fairy continued, "that with every word you speak, a flower or a precious stone shall fall from your mouth."
[One teammate must touch each card to take its effects. Please feel free to play this out in the Discussion area at your leisure (it's suggested that you do this AFTER submitting your cards for the round). If you're not sure how an effect is supposed to work, please comment here and we'll answer you ASAP! If nobody chooses a card by the end of the round, please note this in the Decision, as all teammates will take that punishment at the beginning of the round upcoming.]

HAND
Hand:
The glass slippers don't fit (4 points)
Hallucinations (5 points)
Swallowing glass (6 points)
A monster in the night (7 points)
Oversensitivity to light (3 points)
DARK CARDS
Flayed with a whip (7 points)
And the hero was tormented with the lash of a whip across their back, painful and stinging -- though where the source came from, no one could tell.

DARK CARDS

Fall into a deep sleep. (one round) (4 points)
The hero's eyes closed, and they couldn't move, drifting endlessly. But they could hear voices still, hear those calling to them, trapped unawaking and powerless while the world moved on around them.
Fingernails pulled out (6 points)
It happened abruptly, before the hero could even draw in a gasp—just one. But they had to bear the dread of anticipating that sharp pain again at the beginning of each round, and perhaps that was worse.

NIGHT FIVE
HAND
Hand:
No cards tonight replace the cards you played. You are faced with the Dark cards played against you this round—but following that, the door to your cabin will open as soon as those punishments are taken, and you can find yourself back in the mockery of a Ring . . .
DARK CARDS
When you pluck the petal on the flower, it dissolves into glitter—you'll find any multi-round effects or punishments are lessened slightly, not enough to make them disappear completely, but enough to create some relief.
