You may have to duck to enter the tents, but thankfully they turn out to be much bigger on the inside, with plenty of space to fit your entire team and more. There's also a picnic blanket on the ground with some empty baskets stacked on it. Once you're all inside, the Tree's voice echoes through the tent.

I'm excited to play with all of you! But I don't yet know what you like to play. Hm. . . oh, I know! Why doesn't everyone get to know each other? Then I can get to know you, too. But let's make a competition out of it! We're playing a game, after all.

Possibly most of them will play with the idea of winning, but I'm sure enough of them have a similar mindset on the matter.

What if we don't wanna play on principle?

Then you can avoid participating and I'll play.

It's not fair to insist that others on the team don't participate either.

I can understand you feeling that the concept of the game itself is inherently contradictory to its stated goal, but refusing to participate isn't going to send that message. It'll be best to approach the Persona directly and explain why you feel that the game is inherently offensive.
