You find yourself standing inside of a simple, plain room . . . no wait, this is actually a pretty cool room, isn't it? Be careful where you step though. The floor is completely littered with empty paint cans painting is fun! , crayons wow look at those colors and…bacon. Yeah, lots of cooked bacon. It looks kind of burnt. omg ssssso tasty tho
Judging from the paint cans, the walls have been completely painted turquoise though there are also crayon scribbles all over it. The mastermind vandal? Obviously, it's Toki. He's currently standing there drawing the frame of a door with one of those crayons. Once he finishes, an actual door seems to materialize right where the doodled frame was.
Despite being just a plain room, there's something that feels very artificial about it . . .and there is a strange imprint on the wall. A hand? Above it, there's obviously a warning symbol written in crayon: DON'T PUT YOUR HAND HERE.
Ah, I remember you from the monkey bars. Good show then.
Now... I believe that, often, a person's Heart will hide what is most important, forcing a leap of faith or trust to reach it. So I intend to find a way to touch that handprint as safely as possible...
You have reached an area of complete blankness. While there's a ground for you to walk on, it's completely white. The sky is white. Everything is white.
On top of not being able to see anything, there's no sound, no smells, and possibly worst of all, there's absolutely no feeling.
You catch yourself waking up to the scent of a damp forest. It's gently raining, though the trees provide a nice shelter from most of the raindrops. The important thing to note is the ability to actually breathe. Of course, you didn't notice it at first, but it becomes apparent that the last room you were in was sucking the air out of you.
It feels a lot more natural here.
If you take a look around your surroundings, you'll notice that there's something shining underneath you and the grass. It's like something is covering up whatever you're sitting on. There is also three notable pathways for you to take if you decide to move into the forest: a snowy path, a path covered in pawprints, and a path covered in blood.
Though you could be a rebel and do something else.
[Styles shudders, and takes a few moments to get to his feet. The fear of mortality, the feeling of being on the edge of death...
But as he takes a deep breath and smells the grass, and the trees, and the blood, he decides everything is okay.
Wait, hold on a second. He speaks aloud.]
I shan't pretend it's easy to confront your mortality, but hiding your fear doesn't help. I know I'm a stranger here, but the others on Turquoise - they will face your fears with you.
[Then he tries to work out what he's sitting on, digging with his bare hands if he has to.]
The blood splatters eventually disappear once you find yourself at the entrance of a shrine. It's rather quiet, but at the same time, you feel a gentle kind of warmth hitting your skin. The rain doesn't seem to reach this place.
There's a building located inside which you can enter or maybe you'd prefer to head to the back. You can hear wind chimes coming from there.
The same metallic shine exists here just like it did in the forest. It's just showing up through the cracks of the pathway.
Once you maneuver down to the next level, you'll find yourself in the middle of a large, bustling city. There's an awful lot of noise, and it's pretty hard to drown out at first, but eventually you'll realize how easy it is to get rid of it. It's like you're a ~natural~ at ignoring the things around you now! Those people who are moving past you as if you don't exist? You can ignore them, too! If you focus, you can start to pay attention again but it might take some effort.
Oh, you're at a busstop, and a bus just arrived. It seems like it's heading towards "School". But eh, it's school, maybe you should just go bum at the local arcade or something. Well, if you're gonna skip school, you should also be productive and maybe go visit the library and get on the internet. There' s also the subway stairs that lead straight down...
It's a city, you can find a lot of things to do. Maybe you'd rather do something else (and you can always backtrack to the layer above you).
[This blasted noise! Yes, time drown that out like a pro, and people, what a nuisance they are when Styles has a problem to solve. Now, should he descend further, or first investigate this area more closely?
Ah, a library. That seems reasonable. Unconsciously hunching into a "don't talk to me, I'm in a hurry" posture, Styles heads straight for the library, unaware that his already oblivious nature is being slowly dulled further.]
The journey itself is pretty easy. Outside of people ignoring your existence anyway.
When you arrive, it's a REALLY pretty and prestigious looking library! Books line up the wall from top to bottom for at least three floors. There are computers you can access if you feel like being an internet junkie and . . . oh.
There are a lot of random objects floating wildly in the air. If you're familiar, some of them look like things that could be memories...they seem really confused.
Here we are. Pardon the intrusion, but these objects need to be tucked away safely and sorted out. I have a suspicion...
[Styles reaches out and begins to touch the objects, one by one. He's been in Hearts before, and so he braces himself before touching anything. But he will touch them all. All of them.]
Once you go down the stairs, you find yourself standing inside of a simple, plain room . . . no wait, this is lonely, isn't it? Be careful where you step though. The floor is completely littered with paint cans filled to the brim How do I start?, broken crayons How do I move forward? and that's pretty much it.
The walls are completely white though the scribbles are still there. They're definitely different from the scribbles in the first room. Toki is still there though this time, he isn't doodling anything. He's just kind of sitting on the floor, staring at the walls.
Despite being just a plain room, it feels like there's an overwhelming pressure slamming against you. It's as if gravity gained double its weight and decided to take it out on you. At the same time, compared to the first room, it feels completely real.

On top of not being able to see anything, there's no sound, no smells, and possibly worst of all, there's absolutely no feeling.
Toki doesn't seem to mind it though.

LAYER THREE - I am afraid to remember
The walls are completely white though the scribbles are still there. They're definitely different from the scribbles in the first room. Toki is still there though this time, he isn't doodling anything. He's just kind of sitting on the floor, staring at the walls.

Re: LAYER THREE - I am afraid to remember
