We could say they all died of natural causes.

Depending on which scenario we pick, it could be likely for any of them. It might need a twist though.

[shrugs] Any of them could be twisted in such a way, as long as none of the answers we receive contradict your plans.

Re: DISCUSS

It would still need a little something. It can't be something like "and then the hero dies years later in a completely unrelated way" because that's no good for a story. Rather, it should be while doing something relevant--something that might take a lifetime to complete.

Then we want the mirror or the transformative experience, because changing yourself or making a magical mirror might take a lifetime.

Re: DISCUSS

We could just decide it for ourselves. Or we could ask. Maybe he wants us to be figuring out a predetermined death? If so then it's not much of a game.

How dull; let's decide it for ourselves regardless of what he wants!

Re: Final Story

[personal profile] aristocritical 2014-01-25 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
One day, the land was plunged into darkness when the sun was suddenly extinguished, and everything began to die in the dark. But a citizen of the land saw how everyone suffered in the dark, including their own children, who would soon have children of their own. So this citizen became a hero, so that not only their children but their children's children and everyone in the land would have a sun again. They traveled to the corners of the darkened land, to learn a magic that would allow them to save everyone. In the end, they died on their quest, but only because it was successful: they learned a spell that let them transform their beating heart into a new sun made from all their kindness and love for the people of this land. That sun was so powerful, it boiled away all their blood and blasted their human body to pieces! That is how they died as a normal human, but they didn't mind, since they were able to become a sun and give life back to everyone else. In the end, the only way of preventing it would have been for the hero to love their land and their people less, and who would have wanted that?
