Hurt, kill, or exchange. I don't see any particular reason why we should exchange, so it's a decision between painless death and torture, like the previous question, I imagine.

Exchange for what?

Someone else, I imagine.

Then someone else would just get to decide, and Ruby is ours.

Oh, that would be a real pain.

Now, since Ruby is ours, would you like to kill him quickly and peacefully? As a gesture of goodwill. Or do you think we would get more points for torture? I am unsure how excruciating the torture is...

If killing him would be nicer, we should do that. I like Ruby. But if killing is bad, pain isn't very important unless they get upset about it.
