✿ TURQUOISE
You find yourself in a musty rectangular room floored with tatami. The room is not large, but luckily fits your team without seeming too claustrophobic. It seems to have been set up as a sort of study. There is a low desk against one wall, covered in stacks of paper cards and writing utensils. Near the desk are, of course, cushions for everyone to sit on. A circular latticed window is set into the wall perpendicular to the desk. Bright moonlight filters through, enough to provide illumination for your task. If you look through the window, you can just barely make out the shapes of a shadowy garden beyond and below… you must be at least on the second floor.
The other end of the room is dominated by a large apothecary's chest. There are many, many drawers, but none of them open save for the fourteen in the middle that have been painted with team colors. A hand-lettered sign has been placed on top of the chest: "Please turn in your stories here."

Re: Discussion
Should this character live around or with people they cannot trust? That is worse than living somewhere desolate or alone.

One day, things change quite suddenly . . .!
The character meets someone new, who becomes the object of their inappropriate affections. This is an inspiring thing for the character, who manages to find their voice because of it. But they're still unable to act because of living with that person.
For a little while they think that finding their voice will be enough to stand up to that person and change their lives... but then one day there's an incident with the food. It's improperly cooked and goes bad too quickly, and the person they live with throws a fit over it... which feels much worse because the character thought that finding their voice would change things.
They knew that as long as they still longed inappropriately after someone, they would keep wanting to find their voice and go free... so they decided that the only way to stop feeling that was was to turn the world back the way it was before they had that inspiration. The character became a storyteller whose stories became reality and told a story that wrote the object of their desires out of reality entirely... so they had never existed. Then, the character was never inspired to find their voice, and never bothered thinking about anything outside of the life they knew. So it was easier to accept.

But the story doesn't end here. A friendly team, Coral, wishes to help cheer your character up with the following story element:
Carnelian has also noted that they wish to do the following:
Continue the story by writing a paragraph (or more) including the gift of kindness, as well as the following elements:
You MUST use all of these suggestions, and you cannot ADD any additional events (though you can be creative with how you use them).
THEN:
Write a happy ending.
Write a bad end.
Which do you prefer, and why?
After you're done, you may proceed to endgame.

Re: Submission
But then the unstable person this character lives with murders the object of the character's affection before their eyes. They feel loneliness that comes from not having them there anymore. It is sad.
Happy Ending: There is no happy ending.
Bad end: The unstable person kills the main character.
Which do you prefer, and why? We want a happy ending, but it does not exist.
