[ you’re in a kitchen, with wide-silled windows set into every wall and framed by team-colored curtains! you’re seated at a table with a team-colored tablecloth. it’s a little strange here; the counters and cabinets are made of bone, as are your chairs and the table, and everything seems juuuuust a little oversized, though you can’t quite put your finger on how. warm sunlight streams through the windows; it’s very bright and cheerful in this room, though the shadows are equivalently deep and dark.

on a table sit a small pile of bone tokens, each stamped with the image of an animal on one side and a crescent moon on the other; there’s a rat, a pig, a bat, a one-winged hippo, a horse, possibly a giraffe, and others! there are ten of them. ... there’s a note next to them that says “For the machine.”

on the far end of the room there is a simple, brightly colored machine. the note next to it says “Feed me.” trying to put anything besides tokens in here causes it to smoke and spit the foreign substance out. ]
