From the memories they've told me about, I'd assume so.

They're also very caring and prone to worrying in general; which isn't a bad thing, but it's not very productive.

Death is inevitable and many have to kill to survive. Something like this should be nothing, but they have the luxury of not knowing what living like that is like.

It's not my place to deprive them of that.

A force of habit, I guess; brought on by a team decision.

Valiant has a pet darkfly, you see. They were already accustomed to replacing it whenever it died without him knowing. Going against established practices of the team as a newer member would have been an impediment to getting along.

Protecting the innocence of others seems more like Night's style.
