Erika heart

You get the sense that you pass through a door, but it shuts immediately behind you. However, when you look back, there is nothing but a dead end wall behind you. There is carpet is lush beneath your feet, and the corners are free of dust. Except for the lack of any actual entrance, it could easily be the entranceway of a lavish mansion.

Any magical or otherwise supernatural abilities you have are disabled.

Hmm. Very true to you.

What effect does breaking those seals have on the mystery?

The seals carry the strength of the red truth. Of course, you'll need to break them to discover the evidence, but before that happens, I can guarantee they weren't broken. The doors cannot be opened without disturbing the seals.

[The red words seem strangely forceful, and you can somehow tell they are spoken in red.]

So the red truth is a guaranteed truth, is it.

That's correct. You all are permitted to use the blue truth, so long as what you speak with it is a concrete theory on how a crime occurred. If a theory is spoken with the blue truth, I'm obligated to counter it with a red truth, or it's your victory.

*tilts her head*

Your heart certainly poses an interesting challenge! Are there other types of truth involved here, or only blue and red?

Blue and red are the only types of truth involved in this mystery.

Very well.

Is that the full rundown, or is there other information you wish to give your humble players before we start poking around?

I'm not in the business of providing information for free. If you want more, you can ask direct questions, although of course it's still up to my discretion to answer. The only way to guarantee a response is to attack with a blue truth.

Hmm, but I was addressing your rules, your rules, not the facts of your mystery yet! Are there other rules for this game of yours? If that is all then I can get going.

Of course there are more rules for a mystery, but you'll encounter those as you proceed. I don't expect you to come up with the correct theory right away.
