Ah . . . what I would give . . . no, what you will give? Your choices will determine that, so let us play a simple card game. But first, choose your stance.

But if we don't—! We're always stopping Selenia from doing reckless things . . . but I don't like this either.

. . . If we use weaken and reflect on the same team . . . maybe that won't be so bad.

That's what I was thinking. Or use reflect on a team that would be an adviser...maybe?

Who else might pick adviser? Maybe Kunzite . . . ? Or Amethyst?

Coral would. And...Ruby would. Although since advisers are trying to help, it might be best to figure out who would attack.
greenthummons: (Some I have known)

I don't really know enough to guess who might attack . . . Maybe Iolite?

[thinking...]

[s-stiffles a laugh]

It's sad to say, but I think I can say who would. Although it would just be guessing. Iolite and Carnelian would choose to attack. It's how they are. And...Jasper too, if Saya doesn't want her teammates to get hurt. If we know three, we can choose to nullify or weaken theirs, right?

Martyrs is a little trickier. Emerald would be one, and...I don't know who else. Someone with only one member playing, who would be willing to take on the damage. Was there any team with just one person in the Ring?
greenthummons: (oh no oh no)

Re: discussion

[personal profile] greenthummons 2013-01-01 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
I . . . I wasn't watching for that. But if you're sure about Emerald, we can use nullify on them, right?

Re: discussion

[personal profile] appleofhiseye 2013-01-01 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I'm sure. I would honestly prefer to prevent the martyrs from damaging themselves, if possible...Maybe no one else would pick it. Do you know anyone on Peridot?
greenthummons: (Though it didn't work out)

I know Ventus, but he's become a legacy hero now . . . I don't know any of the others well at all.

I saw Dragonfly's brother...I don't know what he'd do.

[...]

If it's just this time, we can leave it off for now and focus on preventing the attacking teams from doing as much damage. So, we'll nullify Emerald, and weaken an attacking team...and reflect something. The reflect is the problem.

. . . What would happen if we reflected a martyr's card? Would it hit us?

Re: discussion

[personal profile] appleofhiseye 2013-01-01 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, let's do something else. We could...reflect a team we think is an adviser, and risk nullifying their help, or reflect an attacking team, which would hurt them.
greenthummons: (And even now)

Re: discussion

[personal profile] greenthummons 2013-01-01 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
I think . . . M-Maybe if we play the reflect card on an attacking team for our first move? Maybe everyone will start with their weakest cards.
appleofhiseye: (Tansy)

Re: discussion

[personal profile] appleofhiseye 2013-01-01 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I had been hoping to use our nullify card on Emerald for our first move. If they have to take all of their cards regardless, they might start with the highest one to get it over with. Can we use the reflect last?
greenthummons: (Though it didn't work out)

Re: discussion

[personal profile] greenthummons 2013-01-01 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Mm . . . I won't mind. I think it's as good a guess as using it first.

I'm just trying to think of how they'd play. It's a guessing game, but I'm more confident with using the nullify first. And then...weaken Iolite? And reflect last. Carnelian or Jasper, maybe?

[...nods]

Weaken Carnelian for the second one, then. And reflect Iolite last.
