✩ Tiger's Eye

Each team finds themselves in . . . what appears to be a space trying desperately to imitate, perhaps, someone's grandmother's overly-cluttered attic. At the very least, there are things everywhere, perched precariously on shelves and ledges, on tables, under tables, tables on tables, cupboards, closets . . .

There is an elaborate gramophone on one of the tables that begins to play with slow, winding crackle of static:

"There's a lot to making things, you know? A lot of components, a lot of pieces, a lot of parts . . . I'm sure you know that! It would be impossible not to. After all, humans themselves are made of a lot of parts! I'll bet if we took you apart you'd be stunned at how many parts there really are, you know, parts that are soft and squishy and parts that are hard and parts that were hurt as a child and parts that yearn for the future . . . well. We're not going to! If we took you apart there'd be nobody left to play the game. But! I wonder what parts you'd show if we were to take you apart just a little . . . ah. Or, just—what parts you'd show if we asked. What will you show? And I suppose, after all, you're each a part of a part of something else, and you'll have to work with what you have . . . but! Maybe that's part of the game. Hmmm . . . parts that are safe to show and parts that aren't—opening up your ribcage to show your heart, now, that would be something! I really think that would be something. But—it's up to you."

Instructions!

In the room, you'll find . . .

If I am the only one of my team here at present, then doesn't that defeat the purpose of doing something I am only comfortable with in the presence of my teammates?

Thank you.

[using the duct tape as a stabilizer, she starts to work on building something like a tower out of the available furniture with a table as a base; she can't lift the heavier ones, but she starts to build a complex piece looking something like this; it's mostly chairs, and a couple collapses happen along the way (resulting on some bruises) but eventually it's complete and about as tall as the ceiling]

[Naoto built a chair/table/desk tower using duct tape to hold everything together; after climbing on it the first time to test its structure (it needed to be fortified better), she and Mitchell rebuilt the tower once he healed her from the fall. They made it harder, better, faster, stronger! Some pieces look a little precarious, but overall it is held together tightly. And now there's a furniture tower with a note on the front reading, "For Balance. --Tiger's Eye"]

Re: Part Two

[personal profile] deadlyfurniture 2012-12-14 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Mitchell put a memory into one of the spheres, for anyone to touch and see for themself. It's a memory of all of Tiger's Eye including those visiting from their happy ends, plus probably some combination of their various significant others, all sitting down to dinner together in their cabin. It's warm and friendly and they don't talk about anything serious, just enjoying each others' company.

Naoto has made a little version of the scene out of painted clay. It shows everyone sitting around the TE table eating food (it's all dango and pie). It's not the most technically made, but it's very detailed in spite of that.]

Re: Reason

[personal profile] genderbinary 2012-12-14 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
The tower was built to represent balance, structure, and harmony--which are all things Tiger's Eye values and something we keep in check with regards to how we function as a team. Although it was somewhat shoddy at first, after it collapsed we rebuilt it together and made it stronger... which represents how our team deals with hardships.

Re: Reason

[personal profile] deadlyfurniture 2012-12-14 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
We chose to show other teams a scene from our lives that represents us as a team and a family. It had to be something from a time when we were all together, even those of us who are usually helping out in other parts of Aather, and there's no better way to show who we are than to show us at meal time.
