Taisuke's heart

There's something humming inside of you, a strange new power etches itself into your heart, something you can't quite sense what it is but can feel it's importance. An endless sea of stars stretches before you, shining brightly, but despite the beauty of the scene there's a yearning deep in your gut. You need to go, you need more, you need to move. As if in answer, one light shines brightly in the distance and calls you forward, blinding you as you reach towards it--

[Shakes his head] It's fine.

[heads back out—is there anywhere else to go?]

[There is indeed a door just floating in the middle of the outside]

[It's a classroom. A children's one, judging by the brightly coloured artwork on the walls and the size of the desks. And also by the two children, were they always there? They look to be having an argument, Taisuke has kicked over the desk and thrown his books everywhere, breathing hard from shouting. The other boy looks like he's about to cry, but he screws up his courage and kneels down to pick up the books and a fallen nametag, it's torn and crudely sewn with Taisuke's full name. There's a small smile on the boys face as he talks, "Um... I... Since I was born... There's only been me and my mom... That's why... That's why... I will protect her. Kanou, you have to protect your sister too. Because she only has you now. You must protect her."

The younger Taisuke's eyes widen and for a moment, he can only stare, before ducking his head and reaching for the nametag held out to him. The two fade away like ghosts.]
