Taisuke's heart

There's something humming inside of you, a strange new power etches itself into your heart, something you can't quite sense what it is but can feel it's importance. An endless sea of stars stretches before you, shining brightly, but despite the beauty of the scene there's a yearning deep in your gut. You need to go, you need more, you need to move. As if in answer, one light shines brightly in the distance and calls you forward, blinding you as you reach towards it--

Oh, like Naoto? He went through that door if you wanna catch up with him.

[Points to door.]

Really? Thanks! I hope he's alright, too . . .

[pauses]

Are you gonna come with?

Ah, I have to stay here, gotta watch out for anyone else in trouble, you know? But don't worry, Naoto's fine.

You're a good guy. I'll find him, and afterwards if we have time, we can hang out!

[waves a hand, TO FOLLOW WHERE NAOTO'S GONE]

The room you arrive in is so warm. It feels nice being here, a stark contrast to the earlier room you feel comforted. Here is safe, here is where you are loved. It's just a simple apartment, a table with the homework of three people, pens and calculators strewn across it. There are comfy looking chairs, a plate of snacks rests on an end table next to a lamp and wide open windows showing a summers day. Faintly, you can hear sirens outside, but they're so far away are they really a concern? Portraits line the walls, pictures of Citrine having their campfire, the people in the clinic tending to a patient, the knights giving out fun quests, Sapphire having an eating contest with Coral, Kunzite providing the tea, Turqoise getting themselves into trouble again, dozens of cute Aather scenes mixed in with pictures of people you might not recognise at all. Taisuke's sister, and his friends from home. There seem to be an awful lot of pictures with Taisuke getting bullied or teased by them, but more often than not he's smiling. Dozens of the picture frames are empty, blank paper inside. There's a doorway leading to another corridor at the end.

[o-oh, these feelings are kind of foreign too, but I like 'em . . . ]

[sits on one of the chairs, looking at those snacks . . . ]

[Sandwiches and tea and biscuits, yum!]

[what if I put one of the booster things on the sammiches]

[and then eat a sammich]

[THIS SHOULDN'T MESS UP A HEART RIGHT]

[The sandwich tastes awesome.]

[HOLY CHEESE, THAT WAS THE BEST SANDWICH.]

Oh. I need to find Naoto.

[Gets up from the chair and looks at the room one more time, almost kind of envious, before stepping into the corridor]

[After you finish the sandwich, you feel a strong urge within you. You want to live.

You walk into a shrine. Suddenly you're outside? But there are still doors around, the one you came from and one on the other side of the courtyard, slips of paper are tied to trees and over in the distance you see Fire, still in middle school, ringing a bell with his friends as they pray. After they're done, they fade away like ghosts.]
