KNIGHTS

There is cauldron in the center over your area. The walls are tinged in your team's colors, but besides the cauldron, it's bare.

The water in the cauldron is glowing faintly.

Then, Nimue speaks, and as she speaks, the cauldron begins to reflect her vision.

"There lies a kingdom in ruin... Through no fault of its own. All of its inhabitants dead, or lost to the world. Though it lies in ruin, you can see the the faint remnants of the beauty it once contained."

A pause, her voice sounds fainter now.

"Heroes... you have choices that we do not. How... would you use them...?"

Uh -- wow, well, okay...no, no, we're not. Sorry for yelling at you so much, that didn't help or anything. We can move on?

Right, sure!

[ Kind of... relieved, and smiles brilliantly at Mithos! ]

Seriously, that was stupid... and what we're talking about just brings it home! Anyway, Lloyd and I had an idea about the King talking to the traitor too and try and make up, if we're gonna go that way. I mean... why not try?

*i don't understand what just happened but this is a lot better than being furious at your face so it works*

But the King doesn't know who the traitor is, right -- hell, maybe the answer is to give the king bonding time with all of his knights. That's like extra extra loyalty on top of trying to untraitor the traitor guy.

There was an idea of finding a guy who could track the traitor and the messages down... but that works too!

Then just do what Mithos said and make it a thing which happens with everyone! That works too, right? and this guy is meant to be subtle, subtle, he's not just gonna stab the guy! I swear it could work and the guy could reconsider, I'm not saying let the guard down completely!

I don't think it's a bad idea for the king to get to know his guys better. But this isn't just a personal grudge. This is trying to take a kingdom down. This guy at least doesn't care about anyone else there enough to stop yet. He's dangerous.

Maybe that's something to try after we stop the destruction of the kingdom, though? You can't just screw around with that part. You've gotta save the kingdom first... if you have a chance later, that's best, but the kingdom's imporant.

So the final thing is... uh. Watch the ways that someone could be communicating with the enemy and try to get to those messages! At the same time, try to start peace talks with the enemy and find out more about the traitor from them too, so there's nothing for him to use against them and he's exposed! And the king should try to learn more about the people who could be traitors, while being protected so the traitor can't kill him if he realizes what's going on! Coming at it from a bunch of different directions and trying to stop a war at the same time—!
