KNIGHTS
There is cauldron in the center over your area. The walls are tinged in your team's colors, but besides the cauldron, it's bare.
The water in the cauldron is glowing faintly.
Then, Nimue speaks, and as she speaks, the cauldron begins to reflect her vision.
"There lies a kingdom in ruin... Through no fault of its own. All of its inhabitants dead, or lost to the world. Though it lies in ruin, you can see the the faint remnants of the beauty it once contained."
A pause, her voice sounds fainter now.
"Heroes... you have choices that we do not. How... would you use them...?"

*frowns*
Disrupt him? Open negotiations and conciliation with the attacking party before they ever struck the kingdom?

Even if they didn't, it'd be enough to buy time for a while -- generally they'd go under truce while the negotiations lasted. And if it works...the traitor doesn't have any means.
Re: Scenario two
Right.
.... aah, look, I can't stand the tension so I'm gonna say right out: Sorry for losing my temper at you guys last round! It's better to address this now rather than later, especially when we're talking about this kind of thing! I mean-- think about it, if there's a guy willing to betray someone, there's definitely a bunch of bad feelings involved! That's no good! and then we're talking about reconciliation, and... whatever, the point is you guys aren't my enemy!
Re: Scenario two
Uh -- wow, well, okay...no, no, we're not. Sorry for yelling at you so much, that didn't help or anything. We can move on?
Re: Scenario two
[ Kind of... relieved, and smiles brilliantly at Mithos! ]
Seriously, that was stupid... and what we're talking about just brings it home! Anyway, Lloyd and I had an idea about the King talking to the traitor too and try and make up, if we're gonna go that way. I mean... why not try?
Re: Scenario two
But the King doesn't know who the traitor is, right -- hell, maybe the answer is to give the king bonding time with all of his knights. That's like extra extra loyalty on top of trying to untraitor the traitor guy.

I said I don't think we should have him let on he knows who he is.

[ He's just got a simple world view ok ]
