KNIGHTS

There is cauldron in the center over your area. The walls are tinged in your team's colors, but besides the cauldron, it's bare.

The water in the cauldron is glowing faintly.

Then, Nimue speaks, and as she speaks, the cauldron begins to reflect her vision.

"There lies a kingdom in ruin... Through no fault of its own. All of its inhabitants dead, or lost to the world. Though it lies in ruin, you can see the the faint remnants of the beauty it once contained."

A pause, her voice sounds fainter now.

"Heroes... you have choices that we do not. How... would you use them...?"

Guys, I know this is a maybe thing she's talking about, but if the destruction of the kingdom is anything like what I found out happened in her realm — this guy named Mordred let the enemy into the city while the king was somewhere else with his army, or something like that. So should he have left more guards, or what?

--ah.

Depends.

This Mordred--if he was trusted enough, he would have his own guard. So there would have to be enough to combat against them.

He'd have to be discredited before the king left.

If he has the king's trust, it will be difficult to discredit him.

Plus, he has magic. He could use that.

It's not like we're helpless ourselves. Waiting until he lets the enemies inside to stop him is too risky.

I agree.

Disrupting the signal to allow the enemy in would be priority if we know who is the guilty party.

[or we could just kill him and face the king's wrath buuut...]

We could just wait to confirm who he is and kill him quietly.

The problem is confirming who he is. If he's subtle, it's possible he may place a scapegoat.

There's another way! this guy... if he's set up a time and place with the enemy, that means there's got to be communication between the two! How about finding a way to disrupt or change what's communicated?
noeyeinteam: (50)

Re: Scenario two

[personal profile] noeyeinteam 2012-11-23 12:05 pm (UTC)(link)
That would actually be pretty effective. The problem is knowing how to and which enemy he would be communicating with, through which medium.

He's subtle, so it wouldn't be overt like a message.

Re: Scenario two

[personal profile] virtuallyroyalty 2012-11-23 12:06 pm (UTC)(link)
There'd definitely be traces though, and, I mean... like I said, there has to be more than one subtle and smart guy who can use magic. So how about just finding a guy that's loyal to the king, who could do that!
noeyeinteam: (39)

Re: Scenario two

[personal profile] noeyeinteam 2012-11-23 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
So take on a magic-user loyal to the king to find it out.

Sounds like a plan.

But there's still be the issue of discrediting Mordred enough so that he won't have another chance at it.

Re: Scenario two

[personal profile] noeyeinteam 2012-11-23 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Again, you're assuming that he won't have a backup plan to ensure the messages cannot fall into the wrong hands.

Or that it's even a physical message. Magic, remember.
