It would be a stretch to say they’re muted. . . but somehow, things don’t get too loud or disruptive to your conversation.]

It's a memory holder! A lot of them are small and easily lost, but in a holder like this they're easy to keep organised.

It could have more slots for memories too. You'd open it up to reveal more slots, and open those up for more, until you have a place for every single one of your memories.

Our egg crate is still a box for memories - but instead of being bigger than it is now, it's a lot more complicated. The whole thing is made out of sturdy, but simple, wood and metal, and the top layer of the box folds outwards on little hinges. Each layer below it also opens up, and each layer below that, so that no matter how many memories you have, there's a perfect spot for each one. You can keep other small items in there, even stuff like paint or colored pencils. Some of the drawers open up wide enough to put books or drawing pads inside. But no matter how many drawers you open, the box is still very small and compact. Even the lid retracts back into the case.
