PERIDOT
Your room has various hanging scrolls, in a language that is familiar... yet you can't seem to read it. When you look at the round table in the center, there are various scrolls, and five small boxes with a small hole in the center, as well as a small collection of white marbles.
On one box, you see a SWORD, just looking at it gives you a sense of STRENGTH.
On another, you see a SHIELD, just looking at it gives you the safe feeling of great DEFENSE.
On another, you see the carvings of what looks like a gust of WIND, looking at it gives you the feeling of great SPEED.
On yet another, you see a carving of a pair of PLAYING CARDS, you find yourself feeling a little LUCKY today.
On the final box, there is a flowing RIVER, and you feel in better HEALTH.
If you count the number of marbles, there are only 50 of them. Each box looks like it can only hold 20 total marbles.
Finally, there are 2 pieces of parchment and a quill off to the side. On the first parchment, you can read:
NAME ME
AND TELL ME FROM WHENCE WHICH I CAME:
FROM FIRE
FROM WATER
FROM EARTH
FROM ICE
FROM MAGIC
On the other:
YOU MAY GIVE ME FOUR ABILITIES. THEY MAY BE ATTACKS
OF YOUR OWN MAKING. OR THEY MAY BE SPELLS THAT WILL INCREASE MY STRENGTH, OR DEFENSE.
OR SPELLS THAT WILL DECREASE THE STRENGTH OR DEFENSE OF MY OPPONENT.
You can hear Nimue's voice, but you can't see her.
"Create a great creature of legend, heroes. I look forward to your creativity... but it is not creativity that will win this game. Your creature must survive battle with another. While creativity will serve you well, it is truly strategy that will be your greatest companion. You may choose the creature from the scrolls that will represent you in battle."

CREATE YOUR MONSTER
OOC NOTES:
2. Name your monster
3. Pick which element you want your monster to be. It doesn't have to make sense! If you feel like making an earth based ghost monster, then by God, go nuts.
4. You have 50 total points to assign, you can assign them however you want. But you can assign no more than 20 points to one single area.
5. Your areas are STRENGTH, DEFENSE, AGILITY, LUCK, and HEALTH POINTS.
6. You can give your monster four menu options! You can make them all attacks (and if so, please make your own flavor text for that attack), or you can do stat boosting or stat decreasing attacks.
7. Keep in mind that no matter what element you choose, that element has another it is weak to, and another it is strong against. You won't know what your opponent is choosing, so assign your stats and attacks wisely.
8. Have fun!

Re: DISCUSSION
...kind of reminds me of the pirate ships game.

Re: DISCUSSION
I think being fast helps, too. That helped me a lot during the knights' fighting game.
Re: DISCUSSION
We're going to have to have a low stat or two to have a high stat, but...that might still work better than trying to balance all around. It's riskier, maybe, but being balanced might just mean we never break through enough to win anything...
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
And we can give it a spell to boost defense if it's facing something tough.
Re: DISCUSSION
What element would you like to go with?
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Earth or magic, actually.

Re: DISCUSSION
... Let's go with earth.
Re: DISCUSSION
Do we also want a spell to boost strength, in case we're up against something tough?

Can we name it Lancelot?
Re: DISCUSSION
Yes, that sounds good.
Re: DISCUSSION
It was my knightmare back home, so.
FINAL ANSWER
Re: FINAL ANSWER
Strength 10, Agility 17, Luck 5, Defense 6, Health 12
Menu:
1. Armor of Faith: Lancelot raises one sword to the heaven and prays for increased defense.
2. Trap of Shadows: Lancelot crosses his swords before him and turns the earth beneath the enemy to quicksand, sucking it down.
3. Gathering Storm: Lancelot spins both his swords to summon a series of meteors that home in on the enemy.
4. World's Judgement: Lancelot cracks his swords against the earth, causing it to erupt into pointy rocks underneath the enemy in a wide radius.
