Instructions: I have heard of the games before, wolves and sheep. They didn't seem much fun. This time, it is just a game and perhaps something much quicker. How does this sound—I've picked four teams to be my special foxes. It is their job to work together and stay hidden. The rest of you against them (do I have to call you anything, since you're just normal?) will try to find them within the next three hours.

But to make things more fair, there will be a clue. You see all the teams arranged just so? In each row and each column, there will be only one fox team. That helps, doesn't it? I think it should.

When your team thinks it knows who's a fox, place a vote on them. You have one vote per team, per row. If you have not voted when time runs out, then I won't be able to score you for whether you were right or not...

Foxes will receive points for every team who doesn't vote for them and a large bonus if no fox teams are considered the most suspicious, so it's to their benefit to work together.

The rest of you will get points for guessing right and a large bonus if you get all four teams right.

On the other hand...

There might be some bonuses for other things as well—but it's more fun if you don't know everything, right?

It is a game, so it should be fun.

ETA: Absent teams MAY be foxes, or may not be.))

Sounds like fun.

I like solving mysteries. Call it an old past time.

[looks him over]

How old are we talking here?
uneulogized: (vodka tonic? that's great.)

[personal profile] uneulogized 2012-10-20 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably just in the last seven years or so. I don't remember it, but I worked with the world's best at it.

I see. Does this really count as a mystery, though?

In my book, it does. There aren't guesses involved once you talk to enough people.
uneulogized: (heh. i swallowed twenty quarters.)

[personal profile] uneulogized 2012-10-20 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hypothetically. It depends on how good people are at hiding, and without much at stake, they might be very good at it.

I guess... it's not like they're lying about anything big.

Right, unless someone's really desperate for a memory.

You think that would make them more nervous or something?
uneulogized: (gotta love them shoulder wounds.)

Trickier, probably.

Um... I know it's time for the game, but... Would it be alright if we spoke afterwards?

I'll consider it.

Alright.

Good luck.

[personal profile] uneulogized 2012-10-20 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
There is a game to play, though.
squirreledaway: (I'm sorry for the wistful gaze.)

[personal profile] squirreledaway 2012-10-20 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. I'm not used to playing alone, so I don't think I'll be any good at it.
uneulogized: (yeeeeep. that's a flying saucer.)

[personal profile] uneulogized 2012-10-20 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and you guys don't give a damn about winning, do you?
squirreledaway: (I'm sorry you're so annoying.)

[personal profile] squirreledaway 2012-10-20 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Um... I care about the rest of the team getting their memories back... but everyone on Peridot usually has a backlog of memories... I'm pretty sure I do, too.
uneulogized: (yeeeeep. that's a flying saucer.)

[personal profile] uneulogized 2012-10-20 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah, so that's why you can be dicks to other people wanting to win.

Makes sense.
squirreledaway: (I'm sorry I can't.)

[personal profile] squirreledaway 2012-10-21 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
That's why I wanted to talk to you.
uneulogized: (vodka tonic? that's great.)

[personal profile] uneulogized 2012-10-21 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Uh huh. And I'm still deciding.
squirreledaway: (I'm sorry you got kicked off the island.)

[personal profile] squirreledaway 2012-10-21 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
... Alright. I'll find you after the game.
