When you draw close to your team's tree, a dark cloak closes around everyone. If you get too close, there's a strong chill. If you ignore that, it still looks like a nice morning outside, bright and warm. So, it might be better to just stay with your team and tree . . . With a faint rustle, the flowers of the tree start to change and turn colors, dying into many vivid shades.

Okay, first task! I'm making this easy on you, but try to have some fun with it, alright? If I fall asleep, then you're going to have a tough time, riiight? Now, you've got all kinds of colors, but you've got the same tree. So, what's up with that? Tell me what they mean, pick what that says to you. Give me a story or a few words as long as it works for you.

Does that one mean anything to you?

I like purple, I suppose. Although it's a pity there's not one in our color.

That looks more like a Ruby red than a Jasper red...All the colors are off a bit.

Mm, I don't think they're meant to be team colors. So we'll have to pick some other way. --do you know this Persona?

No, I just met her. But she seems to like trees a lot.

A gardener, perhaps . . . well, she'll want us to say something nice.

Flowers usually mean nice things, don't they? We can say that the white one means 'please' and red means 'thank you', like that.

It's just one. But yes, that's the idea . . . for a particularly strong answer, we ought to tie it both to the color and to ourselves somehow. So it will make sense and be unique at the same time.

[twirling the flower some more, frowning at it]

...Then the purple one can be Swift and I can take green. There's seven flowers, so there's enough for everyone!

Mm, would that make Azure blue and Ivory white?

Right! And then Prince can have red, Pitch can have green and Erika can have black.

So this becomes a question of what our teammates mean to us. That's clever. Do you want to take yourself and Prince and . . . mm, maybe Pitch?

Mm! I'll take care of them. Will you take care of the rest?

Yes, I think I can do that.

Then Prince's red is for "want", since he wants everything. Pitch's yellow is "kindness", cause he's never been mean. And my green can be...

[goes quiet for a moment]

Azure is blue for "stillness," because--that's also the kind of person he is. And purple is "curiosity," because it's a strange color and I'm a curios person.

Mm, seeing these colors--none of them is our team's color, but they remind us of our team regardless. Because each of us is different, but we come together to make a whole. Isn't that right?

So red is "want" for Prince, who wants everything. Yellow is "kindness" for Pitch, who's always been kind. Blue is "stillness" for Azure, because he's a quiet person. Purple is "curiosity," as it's my old color and I've always been curious.

[When you finish reciting your meanings, baskets appear. Lots and lots of baskets, too many baskets . . . The largest baskets have team names scrawled on leaves inside them. The smaller baskets have names of knights present scrawled on the leaves inside of them.]

Now, part two! So, we've got some nice flowers with different colors, and they mean all kinds of things . . . Let's spread the love around. Pick a few flowers, not all of them, a few! Then, decide who you want me to deliver them to. How about five of each color for the teams . . . And why don't you give the knights some, too. You can pick five for them and decide who gets your flowers.

You can give one team all of your flowers, all of your yellow flowers, a mix of flowers, only one flower, or none at all. You can mix and match to your hearts content, just mark where each flower goes.

For the knight's flowers, you can pick one of five colors, so you will miss out on two colors. Then, you specify which knight you would like them delivered to. Likewise, you can give a knight all five, a few, just one, or none.]]

Perhaps it's the teams who get the most flowers who win.

Maybe we should give them all to Jasper then, since they're our teammates now.

What we could do instead is try to spread them around to the teams who are less popular, under the assumption they'll have the least number. Which would be--Iolite and Carnelian, probably, maybe Heliodor since they have so many new members . . . Amethyst? Emerald?

...It would be nice to give Citrine something too. A lot of them have gone away.

[makes a face, but sighs]

No, Citrine makes good sense, too. That's six . . . care to add another and make the numbers even?

Hmm...How about Kunzite? I don't know them, so it'll be a nice surprise if they got flowers from us.

They're popular, but I don't mind giving flowers to Kunzite. Now--since we've got seven teams, why don't we give one color to each?

Mm! That sounds like the easiest way to do it!

Now we just need to decide what to give the knights.

I don't know any of them well, I don't think. Well, there's six knights and five flowers, so one is going to get left out whatever we do.

[...closes all her eyes and points one tentacle in the direction of a randomly chosen basket. it is...!]

All right. And colors? Do you know any of them?

No, I don't know any of them. Maybe just pick out the two colors we don't want to give out and decide randomly for the rest?

Not red or black, then; they tend to be suggestive colors, and we don't want to give a strange impression.

Okay...Then we can give the rest of them in order to the knights. So white for Estelle, yellow for Adam, green for Suzaku, blue for Judai and purple for Chariot.

How's that?

That sounds fine. Ah, and we've got to assign colors for the teams, too . . . .

...Give Iolite green. Since they have a new person, they might like knowing someone cares about them.

. . . all right.

Mm, yellow for Citrine, perhaps, since we're giving these as an act of kindness. And--white for Emerald, since they're a team that's very steadfast in their ideals.

Kunzite can get purple, since it'll be like saying we want to get to know them better. Carnelian can have black, cause they're loud about their opinions. Which gives Amethyst blue.
