Sterling + Onyx 1

Through the doors, you find yourselves in a small circular room that seems to be decorated much in the same way as the ring is decorated today. The curtains are in alternating colors of your teams, and in the center stand are three surprisingly lifelike, but faceless sculptures. They stand with their backs to one another, facing out to the chairs. About each of their necks is a cord that holds a sign written in a fine, looping cursive.

You played in the Queen's game, too?

Yeah, I did. We decided everyone involved in our case was kind of stupid.

D'you think 'throw the accused out on the street' consists of 'enacting punishment with our own hands'?

Or maybe throwing them out of the game? Something about having to do it ourselves makes me worried.

Yeah. . .chucking someone seems like an action that falls within the lines of that little rule, at least. We should ask.

*I AM SOUNDING . . . SO . . . POLITE*

Mother. Is removing the criminal from the game or the premises a legitimate punishment?

Some of us are perfectly capable of picking someone up and removing them from a place. Would you let us?

There's always a first time. There's nothing wrong with exploring our options and seeing if they've changed.

What's the purpose of running this sort of thing? You're giving us a blank crime with no context whatsoever and expecting us to act as arbiters; isn't that a rather flawed setup no matter how you turn it . . .?

[Well that was interesting.]

So it's a matter of assigning a punishment or accepting one ourselves.

[I am rolling around in it like a cat in catnip. Internally. Looking super concerned face!!]

We don't have much choice it seems. I'd suggest we take the punishment ourselves but....

I'd rather not leave it to her, considering she's not very flexible about transferring punishment meant for others onto us.

[Looking from Serah to the Doctor.]

They've suggested a vague punishment--like saying we'll take something and then just stealing a hug.
