Heliodor + Turquoise

Through the doors, you find yourselves in a small circular room that seems to be decorated much in the same way as the ring is decorated today. The curtains are in alternating colors of your teams, and in the center stand are three surprisingly lifelike, but faceless sculptures. They stand with their backs to one another, facing out to the chairs. About each of their necks is a cord that holds a sign written in a fine, looping cursive.

I remember we did this once before, with another Persona. Only that time we were allowed to use incarceration as a punishment.

Whatever we come up with, I refuse to kill anyone.

I'm not too keen on that idea either. Not even for the murderer, 'cause hey, maybe it was in self-defense or they were in a war or something.

Exactly. And even then, confronting death with more death is never an option.

You don't think so?

No. A life is still a life, and taking one in exchange for one just encourages more bloodshed.

Yeah, but it's necessary, sometimes.

When?

War. Subjugation. Stuff like that, you know? War's bloody enough as it is, but you can't just not fight back.

But wars could be prevented if only people realized that killing each other wasn't the answer.

It'd be nice if the world worked that way, but it doesn't.

That doesn't mean I can't take a stand against it.

Well, sure. But some things don't change overnight, you know?

I don't see why it matters what their motive was. Punishment is pointless either way.

Basically... I do think it makes a difference, but it doesn't change the fact that they did it and who it affected.

[shrugs...] If you say so.
