Carnelian + Peridot
Through the doors, you find yourselves in a small circular room that seems to be decorated much in the same way as the ring is decorated today. The curtains are in alternating colors of your teams, and in the center stand are three surprisingly lifelike, but faceless sculptures. They stand with their backs to one another, facing out to the chairs. About each of their necks is a cord that holds a sign written in a fine, looping cursive.

I'm not opposed to a psychological tactic. It's Verbal that I am not keen on. Forcing the criminal to confess the crime at a larger population, in a place like Aather, might work in and of itself, but it's not appropriate.
But since it's something we have to deal ourselves, perhaps tying them up and throwing them in the water of the ring for a full night, with their eyes bandaged and no way to distinguish sound.
Then again, I guess they'd drown.

I propose Beato gives a lecture to the perjurer about the importance of keeping one's word and the potential dangers of breaking it. I have faith in her creativity and passion in this regard. Carnelian, If you'd like something hands-on, shoplifting may have one item of theirs confiscated—perhaps by you? . . . to emphasize the value that we place in material goods; and to that effect, Ventus may iterate the importance of respecting others and not jeopardizing your own self-respect.
. . . as for manslaughter, I really do feel nothing we're qualified to mete out can even come close to being anything more than a laughable display. Either we act with vengeance and hypocrisy, or we act with arbitrary inadequacy.
Re: Discussion
I don't know how much I'll be able to get my yelly on when I don't know the motives, but I'm okay with trying.

Re: Discussion
I think I can manage that much, yeah.
Re: Discussion
I don't object to the punishment you chose for shoplifting and perjury, but I'd much rather coming up with something laughable for manslaughter than nothing at all.
Re: Discussion
I'll leave it to the rest of you to decide on the particulars, perhaps.

I think I'd be okay with that, yeah. It's a little revealing, but...if somebody had serious reasons for what they did, like me, we can hope it's something that they've already come to terms with and are okay explaining if they're asked.
