PERIDOT
You can see the other teams, but there is an invisible barrier preventing you from hearing them. You can assume that they can't hear you, either. There is a hefty serving of sweet wine and liquor, should you choose it. With a loaf of bread that you can slice. Nimue is in the center of the formation of teams, and when she speaks, you can hear her loud and clear.
"Storytelling has been a tradition of the knights of Camelot for some time. They would tell of the awesome feats of their king, and of their fellow knights... and... they were also prone to exaggeration in some cases."
There appears a small set of cards next to the liquor. You can read them, or you can implicitly understand them if you can't read.
"What feats have the heroes of Aather accomplished, I wonder? And what... exaggerations they may take? Before you, you will find prompts for your tales. You will write one for yourselves, for a set of knights, and for another team. I will select the most inspiring, as will your peers."
She tilts her head. "Ah, perhaps it is bad to encourage grandstanding..."
But before you can ask her, she vanishes.

Yeah, I can't see them getting too worked up about frogs either...

[right. okay. game first. uh. thrown way off balance.]
...but?
Re: GENERAL DISCUSSION
I assume it would be a grand battle. All of Kunzite, barricading the doors whilst sipping on elegant drinks and fending off wild frogs with their parasols. I believe Lambda is a witch -- at least, Wing said so -- so maybe she turns them all into petite-fours at the end and they invite the rest of the teams over to a grand tea ceremony to celebrate themselves, the heroes of Aather and the slayers of the frogs.
Re: GENERAL DISCUSSION
I think she is too, yeah? And yeah...that sounds really good. Maybe Miss Elizabeth Tankbooties helped fight the frogs too?

YOUR TEAM'S STORY...
Re: YOUR TEAM'S STORY...
[this tale is performed rather awkwardly]
So this is just kind of a little story, but...when I was a little kid, I nearly drowned in the river that ran through my village. I was maybe about four or five, I tripped and got sucked in deeper than I expected. A big dog fished me out and saved me. It was terrifying at the time of course, but not so bad to look back on.
But that didn't stop me from having a bad dream about it once. Like I was a kid again, drowning. Only the water was far deeper, far darker, than it had ever been. Because, well, nightmares.
Only it wasn't a dog that fished me out. For a moment, I didn't even realize what was happening, because...well, who expects to be rescued from drowning by butterflies, even in a dream? But that's what it was. Thousands of golden butterflies, carrying me back to shore. Because one of my teammates, Beatrice, had wandered in my dream, like people do, and saw me in trouble, and saved me. Even though we used to argue a lot, back when I first got here. Even though she had a horrible hangover after drinking a lot of wine. Because that's how Peridot is...even if we don't always understand each other very well, we're always there for each other.
And then I esunaed her hangover when we woke up. For thank you.
YOUR KNIGHT'S STORY...
Re: YOUR KNIGHT'S STORY...
Once there were two knights from different teams, Tiger and Throne. They decided in the name of peace to get together and do something fun, as friends. After some debate they settled on baking cupcakes to share with everyone in Aather. Unfortunately, they'd hardly started baking when things began to go wrong. First, they lost the recipe, then found it, then lost it again. Then they start arguing over what flavor the cupcakes should be: chocolate, or vanilla? Chocolate, or vanilla? Throne wanted chocolate because it was closer to black, for Onyx. Tiger wanted vanilla because it was closer to light grey, for Sterling. They eventually agreed to do half the cupcakes as chocolate and half of them as vanilla, but tensions were high.
Everything came to a head when the cupcakes came out of the oven and it was time to start decorating. Chocolate frosting or vanilla frosting? To dye the icing team colors or leave it plain? And what about the sprinkles? Oh, neither of them could agree on the sprinkles at all, there were just too many options. They argued for a long time while the many cupcakes they'd made started to cool. No one knows who threw the first one -- the truth is lost to the mists of time and memory -- but whoever it was found that his opponent was more than happy to retaliate in kind. Cupcakes flew throughout the kitchen! So did icing, and sprinkles! Oh, the sting of those sprinkles! The rest of the knights hid rather than witness the terrible baking carnage. The things Tiger and Throne yelled at each other are too horrible to retell.
Eventually the battle ended. In triumph, Throne smeared a red icing rose over Tiger's face, thus securing chocolate superiority in baked goods forever. But at what price? The kitchen was littered with bowls and pans and spoons, leftover batter, torn cupcakes, globs of icing, and who knows what other terrible confections. The fruits of their baking were wasted, and now they had to clean it all up.
ANOTHER TEAM'S STORY...
Re: ANOTHER TEAM'S STORY...
One day in Wonderland, a cry came up throughout the land -- Frogs are attacking! people cried as they ran back for their homes. Unfortunately, the frogs were very tricky -- they could sneak in through windows and climb in through the trapdoors in the ceiling, and no one could seem to get rid of them. "What are we to do?" Everyone lamented, tearing at their hair and laying on the ground in misery.
However, one team was safe from this horrible infestation: Kunzite! For they realized that these special, rainbow-colored frogs that could get into any place easily had only one weakness. And that weakness was corgis! The team quickly encouraged Miss Elizabeth Tankbooties to guard the door while they figured out how to best save everyone else. Finally the team came up with a plan: using all of the magic available to them, they would turn all of the frogs into tea and biscuits! With Miss Tankbooties as protection, Kunzite rushed to the top of their mushroom, and from there shouted a curse that did exactly that! Every single rainbow frog in Wonderland became both tea and biscuits, and every single thing of it flew to the Kunzite mushroom and piled up neatly in front of the team members. Jubilant and rejoicing, Kunzite decided to throw a tea party to celebrate their magnanimous offering of safety...for what better way would there be to celebrate them saving Aather than a party celebrating Kunzite themselves? Everyone was so thankful that they even brought their own sweets and gifts for the team, and a good time was had by all.
(And Miss Elizabeth Tankbooties received many affectionate pets and ear scritches, and was doubly rewarded. Good dog, best friend.)
