I'm not fond of them either. But I would like a chance to know you better.
[pauses a moment, working over the words in his head before speaking]
You're someone who's very important to friends who are dear to me, Guy. Perhaps more than that, you're a knight that I admire. You have a quiet determination and strength of spirit that befit someone of your senior standing.
It's something I've witnessed, in the way you hold yourself in games, the attention that you give to the needs of the realm. [nods to the doors] In the way that you hold those who are not with us at the moment in remembrance.
"I'm afraid answering that question directly isn't an option for him. You see, he's the part that he's comfortable showing the populace... as it were."
Facade gives Jade quite a look, though now he eyes Flynn. "I'm still here..."
"Certainly, though I'm sure he enjoys it," Jade happily continues talking over him, giving Facade a sidelong, knowing smile. "You're here because he doesn't trust you to see his dirty laundry. Your earnest wish to see further makes his existence more obvious. I believe one way to say it is you broke his poker face."
You do have my apologies for that. [turning to Jade] However, regardless of the results that my actions have had here, I have no desire to go against Guy's wishes for what he would and would not have me see.

Re: [Aather]
And a bit embarrassed.
"That's a lot of praise."

Re: [Aather]
There's a very loud shutter of gears, and Guy curses and presses his hand to his chest.
Re: [Aather]
Guy—?
Re: [Aather]
His movements seem a bit unnatural all of a sudden.
Re: [Aather]
What do you mean? What just happened?
Re: [Aather]
"Of all people... who just says that much out of the blue? You're really as honest as you seem, aren't you?"
Re: [Aather]
That—what I have said is my honest opinion of you, Guy. I don't understand what you mean . . .
Re: [Aather]
Re: [Aather]
[brushes his hand against Guy's shoulder a little before letting go]
What part of him are you?
Re: [Aather]
Jade, however, clears his throat.
"I'm afraid answering that question directly isn't an option for him. You see, he's the part that he's comfortable showing the populace... as it were."
Re: [Aather]
Is he really thrown off guard by honest praise like that?

Re: [Aather]
Re: [Aather]
I wouldn't mind having the opportunity to do so.
Re: [Aather]
"Oi..." says Facade.
Re: [Aather]
[gets up, putting a hand to Facade's hair and mussing a little]
It's all right. I'll be careful.
Re: [Aather]
"Thanks a lot."
Re: [Aather]
[but Flynn is heading off to the second floor]
