Sorry. I don't have much that'd work for memorials on me, and I don't have enough flowers for all of you. . . I hope you guys'll accept this.

As you look deeper in this path though, there's more familiar bodies - deep, deep in individual craters. It's as if when they fell, they impacted the ground so severely that the entire lower framework was affected, spreading cracks and ruining the foundation completely, caving in whatever opening was once there. Van, Luke, and Asch's bodies are all there, exposed without a sign of decay. As well as a girl who was once beautiful, with long blond hair, very alike to Guy. She has somewhat decayed.
Luke may as well be alive and breathing, were he not... not breathing. He looks asleep. his crater is the deepest, and the damage cuts so deep it spreads absolutely everywhere, the fissures running deep underground and up along the walls.

[I STILL HAVE MY INVENTORY! lights a candle and leaves it next to Luke, and then repeats the same with Van and Asch :T now I am going to climb out of here and TRY TO FIND WHERE THAT ECHO IS COMING FROM. are there walls or anything left of the foundations around here?!]
The foundations are injured, but nothing is caved in completely, other than the ceiling above those bodies. There's the second pathway if you backtrack, and in the corner of this room in particular there is a... soft patch, that squishes underfoot.
It looks like a very small stream, flowing... upwards, up the drop in front of you.
It was hard to see in the dark, but now that you squint, you can see an underground pool of water down there, where a simple boat lit by a candle has settled.
