This area gives way to a floor cobbled with stone, worn with age. In fact, you can tell quickly this station is old - the material and feel of what's been carved out has had time to settle. That isn't to say there isn't new work - it's obvious that it's being restored, remodeled, while preserving the integrity of what's already there. It's warm here, likely due to the blazing metalworks, heavy hammers and shaping tools arranged here and there, left in some odd places - the engineer here is comfortable in his space. Many projects are wrought from steel. There are chains, ropes securing some projects - something that looks like only the sleeves of armor, and a remote device (? it has an antennae at least) to the side. And while one forge is clearly honed for shaping steel, there's another forge with a grill, larger...
There is, also, seemingly out of place, a flowerbed built into the wall far away from the heat of the forge, tucked into a corner. It's blooming with well-tended selenias. Plants have been allowed to grow through the stonework in only this corner.
It doesn't look like the engineer himself is here at the moment...
They turn on! Light fills every joint and a little whirr hum of Fonic energy activates. The remote device on the table also blinks.
Footsteps give you a signal that a big guy is coming. It is... Selenia! He's covered in the grease and sweat of hard work and his jumpsuit is tied at his waist. Apparently he took a break to get some water.
"Everyone's inventions add to their influence here. We all make our marks in this place. Just by building it it's enough."
He picks up the remote.
"I started building something to take those apart, but they were made very... skillfully, if I do say so myself."
He flips a switch - an electrical current jolts through the inside of the arms. Outside seems to be well insulated, so unless you have something stuck in there you're just fine.
"The idea is to discourage behavior on the field that isn't constructive, and reward otherwise with increased strength."
"Oh, I'm not. Like I said, it's built to last. Even the new forge I've invented can't break it down. But building something to take it apart, that adds to my repertoire."
[man that armor is rrreally heavy all of a sudden]
"The selenias?" His smile gets softer. "The box is the invention - it's old, but it was falling apart. I recently restored it. Is designed to keep plants growing healthy. Selenias can be very delicate, so making sure they can stay strong is important. There was only one there at first, but it's been quite successful lately."

-- You're wrong. Selenias are one of the most resilient flowers. They don't need the sunlight to bloom, and they can flourish under adversity.
