Naoto's Heart

You find yourself falling through a black abyss, the air cold around you, although not bitingly so. Just as your eyes begin to adjust to the darkness on every side, you're dropped through a chute and tossed out into a brightly-lit area...

She bats at them.

He's trying to help Sleuth. Right?

She glances at both of you--or tries to, her head is tilted strangely.

"What are you trying to fix?"

There's a manikin out there. It's missing parts, and we've gotta find them in different rooms.

She looks hesitant, tail puffing up a little--then relaxes.

"You can come in."

And she steps back to let them enter.

[heading in and kneeling before her, pulling out the box of eyes]

I've got these, if you wanna see how they work.

"I can't see at all, actually."

...

Sit still, then.

She sits still.

[attempting to remove the eyes ... and then put in new ones]

There's...a doll, near here, missing her eyes, and yours...look like hers? Missing a whole lot of things, actually, but...we all want to try to put her back together.

And you get them outta other moving things.

Looking. We've only been here for a little while, sometimes time moves weirdly in games like this. I wound up talking to part of her heart about some other problems she's been having.

Yeah, that's not really my style.

[holding out a hand for her to sniff if she wants it]
