You find yourself falling through a black abyss, the air cold around you, although not bitingly so. Just as your eyes begin to adjust to the darkness on every side, you're dropped through a chute and tossed out into a brightly-lit area...

Shouldn't we do something about that?

She leans against the wall so she doesn't have to put weight on it.

"What did you have in mind?"

Er... I hadn't really made a plan or anything. Do you know what the problem is?

"There's a lot of problems. You'll need to be more specific."

Can we fix it so it doesn't hurt you?

"What are you trying to fix?"

Well, ideally I would think you should have a regular leg.

She looks surprised.

"Oh. Well, yes, I'd rather like one, myself."

Can we do that? That would help, right?

"If you need it, yes."

[glances at Beatrice]

We're not just going to take that leg without getting you another one.

"There might be one around here somewhere... ah... you don't have to, though, I can walk on one just fine."

[ignoring that second part]

Around here somewhere, huh?

"Possibly...?"

...We'll look for it, then.

She looks kind of embarrassed.

"Thank you."

No problem.

After handing her leg to Beatrice, she braces herself against the wall, balancing on one leg.

[...winces a little]

Are you sure there isn't anything else we can get for you in the meantime?

She thinks.

"Well, um... I don't suppose there are any chairs in there...?"

Yes, right! A chair. There are definitely chairs.

[goes out to retrieve one of the chairs from the lobby]

The lobby has four chairs surrounding a low coffee table, and a bench with a coffee maker. The chairs are all oddly flesh-colored, however.

Uh...

[pokes one of the chairs hesitantly]

It's a chair. But those legs are... well, legs.

[well that's distressing but also potentially convenient]

[c-checks to see if he can detach a leg]
