Room 1: Jasper, Emerald, Citrine, Iolite, Heliodor

[When you enter the rooms, they're fairly open and large, with enough space to spread out. On the walls are posters with a list on them:

1. Trickery/mischief?
2. Love?
3. Truth?
4. Snakes?
5. Masks?

Can you ask a question when it depends on the last thing asked? Asked thusly, what would you say? Say what you would freely, or falter? Falter on the same word, or manage to soar?

There is a strange humming sense of expectation in the air.]

((We're playing the questions game with a twist! Each question needs to start with the needs to begin with the last word of the previous question, like in the IC example above. There is a list of themes and starter questions if you'd feel more comfortable springboarding that way -- using one of our starters will not lose you points! You'll have the standard five hours, after which we'll cut you off, but you can pretty much go wild and have as many question conversations as you feel like before you call it quits and head to endgame.))

Question is a word with a specific meaning; do you think you can just stick whatever you want as the subject?
wouldntkilladragon: (Well let me think....)

[personal profile] wouldntkilladragon 2012-09-09 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Subjects have a wide range and the fact not everyone has the same frame of reference, most anything can be a question, but in that context, it would be possible to ask something like 'the cat, do they, yesterday, wear socks?'

Socks are at least something that can be worn, so isn't that compound already more sensical than some other things you could come up with?
wouldntkilladragon: (But you know...)

[personal profile] wouldntkilladragon 2012-09-09 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
With that amount of time, it was the best that came to mind, but I suppose you could come up with something better?

Better meaning more complete gibberish?
wouldntkilladragon: (Sup)

[personal profile] wouldntkilladragon 2012-09-09 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Gibberish does seem to be the goal for the moment, doesn't it?

It seems we've made it that way, so how about "murder purple it the brighten and aggravatingly?"
wouldntkilladragon: (Yup!)

[personal profile] wouldntkilladragon 2012-09-09 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Aggravatingly good point- [though he looks more amused.] -but then the challenge is which part makes it the question instead of just random words?

Words have meanings and sentences have structure, and it doesn't meet the criteria if you don't follow the rules... wasn't that my original point?
wouldntkilladragon: (Sup)

[personal profile] wouldntkilladragon 2012-09-09 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Point enough for that, but I did make it clear I didn't know if there were rules beyond make sense, and I was just saying it is possible to ask a question of gibberish to not make sense, so maybe there was just a bit of miscommunication in some place?
