Team Post: Sapphire

[The room you step into is bare and depressing. Gray, damp stone walls, a dusty and worn table, a few candles providing dim light . . . There is, at least, a meager spread of bread, cheese, and meat laid out on the table. A pitcher of water and a few glasses are set upon it as well.]

[Most notworthy as you enter the room, however, is the sudden implicit understanding of the rules of the game:

1. There are 13 teams, and 3 among them are "wolves". That is, 3 specific teams will be choosing another team to "eat" each night. The team that is selected to be eaten will be killed.
2. Each day, every team must participate in the poll to decide who among them is the most suspicious; the most likely to be one of the wolf teams that is eating someone each night.
3. The two teams chosen as the most suspicious each day will be put up together in a poll for everyone to discuss and vote on. Teams are to vote for who they believe to be the most suspicious between the two, and the team selected as the most suspicious will be executed.
4. Any attempt to save those being put to death will be severely punished.
5. Although the ultimate goal is to find the 3 "wolf" teams, that is not the only way to win memories. This particular rule is left somewhat vague, but there is the impression that Jacobi and Jabberwock will be considering other factors as well . . .

The Personae running this game aren't fond of giving us an easy way out. I think it would be best to at least have some restrictions in mind if we are forced to play our role.

Why bother to play our role then?

...Jabberwock may end up making our decision for us if we refuse to play.

Unless you want to announce that we're wolves to everyone else and be killed in the first round, there doesn't seem to be much choice just yet. It's a matter of whether you want to hold out and find another option at the expense of other teams, or simply give ourselves up and hope the rest of the wolves would be kind enough to follow our lead.

No, we don't. We'll be working to find the others.

We're gonna vote for Kunzite.

I figured as much. Ruby and Heliodor are off limits to us.

Yeah. You asked earlier what team I don't wanna hurt? Ruby's it.

Kunzite is also the most suspicious right now. They're handling it far too calmly and don't look as haggard as Ruby. Hopefully others will use that as their reason to vote them out.

I'm afraid it's as reassuring as I can be without outright lying to you.

...How do you propose we do that without getting ourselves and another team killed?

Then we act suspicious enough that they know! That's easy enough, isn't it?!

Not quite. People haven't decided what suspicious is just yet and they did spend a great deal of time reading into a miscommunication with voting.

...However, Sapphire's turn will undoubtedly be next. All we'd need to do is vote for ourselves, make that known, and refuse to explain why. That would certainly catch attention.

... Fine. But I'm not going to defend Carnelian.

In fact, I'd rather we voted for them.

People have narrowed it down to them and Turquoise. Alena from Carnelian was one of the few people that taught me how to protect myself when I was new and without skills. It would be a betrayal of her. The other girl on that team is new and likely hasn't died yet, and I don't want to be the one to kill her the first time.

...However, Turquoise has a young girl on their team and I don't want to kill her for Carnelian's sake either. Especially in this context.
