Dog Game - Group 5
[You're in a small, dark room with no doors. The walls and floor are made of something like cement, though the floor is spread out with brightly-colored towels to make it a little softer (it doesn't help much.) The only light comes from one small window — you can maybe stand on your tiptoes, to see that it shows nothing but a view of a chainlink fence outside. It does not open or break. Despite the uncomfortable surroundings, the atmosphere is peaceful, if a little claustrophobic.
In the center of the floor there's a wide drain. The grate over it has been broken open and there's room for you to fit both hands in, but you feel a crawling apprehension about touching it, which makes sense if you know anything about Aather at all: up to an inch from the floor level it's filled with liquid darkness.
There are bowls next to each of you filled with tiny animal skeletons (they're kind of mousy?) If you touch the bowl, you know instinctively that they contain some of your memories of Aather and which skeleton is which memory. ♥
The Dog's voice in your head is less uncertain than before:]
Hello, hello! We're supposed to — retrieve your memories back from the darkness, right? It was bad darkness to take them! But to get there we have to run and jump with all our other memories and thoughts! Help me get a scent, please—? If you let them loose in the darkness right, I'll be able to follow!

Round 1
[if you take the "skeleton" of your memory and describe why that time in your life was like trying to jump a fence, the little skeletal mouse-thing will glow and play the memory for everyone to experience. once the other people in your group have commented on or discussed your memory and why it is appropriate for this round's theme, the skeleton will come alive, chittering, and leap into the darkness in the grate.]

This one is like trying to jump a fence because it's the first time I realized how approachable Lloyd was. Which sounds really ridiculous now, but at the time it was good to know I could mess around with him and not have it backfire on me terribly.
Well. It would still backfire, but at least it was a fun backfire.

The simplest way to say it is that in this memory Dragonfly is the fence. I was making an attempt to acquaint myself with the different teams so I really had no way of expecting to be confronted with such a challenge so early on. The password he asked of me, as well as his weapons, were a rather significant obstacle in my path. However, I did manage to overcome the questions posed to me and achieve my goal as well as offering him some assistance.

This was after the Netted Lion's game, and I felt like I didn't know what I could do at all. So getting more information like this helped a lot, because it felt like I could at least know what was around me more. The fence was a lot lower than I thought it was because of it, I guess you could say, and there was a lot more I could do than I could have thought up alone before it.
So, thanks Guy.

The fence here is something that comes a ways before this memory. I was having difficulty at this time placing myself as a knight within Aather. It was clear to me that what my role was to be here was different from what it meant to be a knight at home and I was struggling with that. However, being able to take action, fighting the darkness, saving Maleficent, and swearing myself to Lady Beauty allowed me to jump that fence. I was able to fully understand what I could do for Aather and what means were available to me.

[then picks SIGNIFICANT NEUTRAL FEELINGS AND SWORDS (Day 151, 33rd day in Aather)]
Yuri is the fence, here. There were events that came to pass between us that placed us apart before this memory. What there is between us in Aather isn't the same as how things were in our home world, and even though I had recognized that to be the truth I still found that I couldn't place where I stood with him. I still wished to be his friend, but that uncertainty stood as a barrier.
I received a memory not unlike this one. Where we fought so that we could better understand one another. After fighting him I feel that I understand our places in relation to one another much better.

I dug myself into a rather unfortunate hole during this game with Iolite. It was my first time interacting with the team and not only were my skills unsuited to the game that we were playing, I was unaware of their unique nature as a team.

This was my first game, and my inexperience with how games worked really got not only me, but Chariot as well. It felt like no matter what I did, the hole was just getting deeper and deeper until it eventually swallowed us.

This memory closely followed the murder committed in Three's realm. I wished to offer my assistance to Turquoise in arbitrating the matter in a way that would be fair and impartial, but I didn't realize that my involvement was unwanted. I dug myself a hole in that my attempt to help only made things more difficult for them.

I think my reaction to this whole memory just made the hole deeper all by itself. If I hadn't reacted, it wouldn't have been so bad. Although I suppose Wolf and I did agree to disagree as well, but that was a different issue altogether.
