You find yourself in a beautiful red room, the edges of each wall adorned with real gold accents. At the center of the room is a long table, several chairs on either side of it, perfect for very serious conferences. In the middle of the table is a plate of strawberry jam tarts atop it, one per teammate present.
In the corner of the room is a hole in the ground, only large enough for a small animal to fit through. Next to it is a flat iron bar, curled at its tip, where a golden bell has been hung from it.
Finally, on one wall is a large poster which reads (or you find read aloud to you, if you cannot read):
The Lion and the Unicorn
Were fighting for the Crown
The Lion beat the Unicorn
All around the town.
Some gave them white bread,
And Some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum cake
and drummed them out of town.

Re: first case
If we truly are to determine what is just in this situation I feel that it would be to return the Crown to the Lioness without injury to either the Crown or the Unicorn and to seek to understand what drove the Unicorn to take such actions so that they might be prevented in the future. If the Unicorn proves to be unrepentant in his actions then punishment may be arbitrated by a neutral third party.
That failing, I would not wish to see the Lioness murdered for her actions, but I cannot say that I would consider them just.
Re: first case
Look, dude, you totally skipped over the part where if this is all we know about the story, it's weird that the Lion's in trouble. You just went with it. I mean, you're going into crazy detail over how Lion's actions are terrible without even talking about Unicorn's, isn't that weird? And you're making up all these possibilities for Lion but you're not doing it for Unicorn. Maybe Unicorn is some psycho murderer. You want Lion to wait around then?
Re: first case
Yet regardless of how these actions were motivated or what the nature of the participants is, I do not see execution as a just punishment for the Lioness' actions but I will not recognize what the Lioness has done as the correct course of action in any situation.
Re: first case
What punishment would you even give her? Does it even matter to you why he got put in a coma?
Re: first case
Re: first case
Man... look, I didn't think much about it at first, and I'm not a huge deep thinker... but the only thing we know for fact is "kidnapper." What reasons are gonna be good? It sucks that he got put in a coma, and if he was fine I'd just dump him in jail... if he's, I dunno, a nice misunderstood kidnapper and Crown's some kinda mastermind it's extra shitty.
But I don't get getting pissed off at Lion and just focusing on making sure she gets what she deserves. You're all offended about justice but it sounds more like you got a chip in your arm about it than anything else.
Re: first case
The Lioness stands out only in that she sought to seek punishment by her own hands and act outside of the system of law that was in place.

We should ask if our host would tell us more of the circumstances that brought about the situation which we are to judge.

Echo is even more uncertain of what to make of this now.

Regardless, I feel we should not execute the Lioness.
Re: first case
Well... now Echo wants to know why the Unicorn was made to kidnap the Crown.
