You find yourself in a beautiful red room, the edges of each wall adorned with real gold accents. At the center of the room is a long table, several chairs on either side of it, perfect for very serious conferences. In the middle of the table is a plate of strawberry jam tarts atop it, one per teammate present.

In the corner of the room is a hole in the ground, only large enough for a small animal to fit through. Next to it is a flat iron bar, curled at its tip, where a golden bell has been hung from it.

Finally, on one wall is a large poster which reads (or you find read aloud to you, if you cannot read):

Sing a song of sixpence, a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked into a pie.
When the pie was opened, the birds began to sing.
Oh, isn't that a dainty dish to set before a King?

The King was in his counting house counting out his money,
The Queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey.
The Maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!

Right. The punishments should be completely different.

I was thinking that too. It's an accident, a terrible one, but he doesn't deserve to die for that.

Then what should we do for him? Send him to jail?
wouldntkilladragon: (Well uh this is awkward)

[Paaaause.]

Is that a kind of imprisonment? I'm lacking some words for some justice systems.

Yeah, it is! It's not killing him, but it's still doing something about the problem, isn't it?
wouldntkilladragon: (But you know...)

[Nods.] It is. He's still being made an unpleasant example and with enough time, the people will feel satisfied he paid for his mistakes.

Exactly! It's a good compromise, isn't it?

[Nods.] Freedoms still restricted, and people do know what's happening to him, unlike banishment. They could also try to kill a banished person if they're angry enough.
