Kunzite

[The sound of a breeze covers any conversation coming from other pavilions, though there's no wind here. The only furnishing is a table laid out with a tea service glazed in your team colors and a few leaves of paper.]

. . . Sounds simple enough. I'm glad they don't have to be secrets.

We have to make sure the lie isn't too obvious, though...

Right . . . maybe we should start with a theme, so that the truths and the lie all fit together.

Maybe in that case, we should think of our truths first? So we have something to spin off of for the lie.

Hmmm~ start with something everyone "knows" about Kunzite, and think of three things that follow from that but are a little less obvious. If they're all statements of the same level, they'll be harder to distinguish. Something like. . . "Kunzite loves tea. For some of us, it's a legacy leading from Miss Sharon's presence. Miss Sharon was a very precious little sister to the team." —that's just an example, of course, but that sort of thing.

Using someone who isn't here anymore is also an advantage. Less people who might know the truth.

All right. So for being Kunzite... Well, we have tea, and cute things, and manners... And having more girls than the other teams to work off of, if we're using something from our reputation.

Re: Discussion

[personal profile] oceansoftime 2012-08-01 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
If I might make a suggestion, maybe we could leave individual names out, to cloud things further. So in Meadow's example, we might say "We're fond of tea; this is due to the influence of a past member; that member was like a little sister to the team." Only someone who knew Kunzite very well would be able to pick the lie out of that.

It really is rather difficult. I wouldn't be able to at all, if Meadow hadn't said to me the tea was from Sharon before.

[smiles]

Sharon was definitely more of an older sister... The only thing with that is, though... Everyone knows that the tea one is true, so they'd just have to choose between the last two. But if people were going to work on the assumption that "because of a past teammate" was untrue, that would automatically make "the teammate was like a little sister" untrue as well, right...? The last one is the only one that can be a lie without the rest of them being lies as well.

1. Our enjoyment of tea was influenced by a member who was like a big sister to the team.
2. Our quest for a puppy was a team effort, inspired by a member who thinks animals are very cute.
3. Our team has three members who never replaced a previous member.

[For the record, Kunzite discussed to the best of their abilities, but after making their best guesses about the unfortunately small number of teams they were actually familiar with, opted to play eenie-meenie-minie-moe with the rest.

It was adorable.]
