Someone who is concerned for their teammates. A puppy would also be a communal pet.

Kind of like how we're sharing the puppy now.

Someone concerned for their team might try hiding their memories so as not to trouble them. I have friends who do that.

Yes. The puppy . . . hiding bad memories . . . would someone who wished to hide bad memories seek more memories?

Just because they want to hide their own doesn't mean that the rest of the team should sacrifice themselves. Maybe they'd care enough about the others to bear the bad ones and hide them instead of depriving the others.

Yes . . . and they would have no need to hide bad ones if they were not taking them.
