You find yourself inside an elegant room, lit with a crystal chandelier shaped like a swan’s wings. Inside, there are just enough couches and chairs to seat you all. The room is bracketed on all sides by glittering golden bars, which flare inward and taper off at the ceiling. All along the bars hang the portraits of your fellow Heroes and Knights, each with an indentation along the bottom of the frame.

In the middle of the room, there is a table, and on that table are several clusters of perfect tear-shaped rubies. Six for each of you. As with memories, you instinctively know which of the gems are yours. If someone should touch one that isn’t theirs, it will disappear from their hand, and appear in that of their rightful owner.

How many more does Hunter-san need. Maybe I could put two points on him, and you could put points on two of mine.

...I would do that. He just needs the one point. I can take Apollo-san, Viridian-san, Kitsunebi-san and Jet-san in that case.

[waves a hand]

I have Apollo. S'likely Heliodor will play a stone to save him, too.

You pick someone else. [glances at the list again]

Pascal.

[nods] All right, then I've got Hunter-san, Sleuth-san and Euphy-san.

Then I'll switch Apollo-san for Pascal-san.

And if Madoka's taking Hunter and you've got Kitsunebi and Jet, then that just leaves two for Dragonfly.

Then it sounds like we're all set...

[staring at the portraits, arms folded over his chest]

If everyone plays this right, then no one will die.

And we may still be able to help a bit more... At least... Anemone-chan and Dragonfly....

[But there are going to be a lot of wounded if it isn't played right.]
