Friends, teammates, knights...I'm sorry that it's come to this. Even if the mean princess has to be overthrown, we'll have to do a lot of fighting, and some of us might get our heads chopped off or our arms chewed off and nailed to trees. But more than that, the people we're fighting are just victims of her laws too. Clean, well-fed victims. So I'm not just sorry for us, but also for them, who used to be our friends and comrades. Even the princess herself wasn't always mean.

Since I'm leading you into battle, I have to take responsibility for what's done today. It's a heavy burden, but as your leader, I accept it. I'll carry it so none of you have to. And I'll make sure that at the end of the day, free cooking and, um, reasonable manly musk are all that's left on the field of battle.
