Following the hedges maze for a while you eventually find yourself in a small clearing with another white table sitting in the center. On the center of the table is another letter.

"Well, in the interests of airing our grievances with one another I feel it's best to communicate in the most honest way possible. Take the four names below and select four or five of the words listed that you feel best describes your thoughts and feelings toward them. Do try to be frank and open, Mother knows when you're lying.

And, of course, don't forget your dear Mother as well."

Iolite Citrine Blizzard Thorn

Disdain Protection Strength Perserverance Zeal Uneasiness Vulgar minds Admiration Friendship
Bonds Good Education Indifference Curiosity Meanness Wit Bluntness Frankness Hope
Insincerity Bravery Dignity Treachery Stoicism Horror Coldness Pity Surprise
Envy Zest Weakness Sourness of Temper Amiability Virtue Busybody Variety Independence
Uselessness Warmth Tears Unamity Tranquility Energy in Adversity Mildness Silliness Sympathy

RULES: As a team, pick 4-5 adjectives to describe how you feel about the 2 teams and 2 knights listed above. Also pick 4-5 to describe your feelings toward ~Mother~. Reply to the turn in comment by 12am EST / 9pm PST with your results. PLEASE keep the names private! Assume that characters who can't read hear Mother's voice reading the words in their head.

It looks a little more purple than that. [shrugging, though]

Zeal and frankness for the whites, then. Or envy.

We could go with "wit" if you think that matches better, but I'm not sure how well that goes along with bluntness and frankness. Though I guess frankness does match the off-white color best.

Wit can be a vehicle for honesty.

It can, but it's not particularly blunt. [shrugs herself] But I suppose I shouldn't try to attribute too much consistency. They could have given us the words for different people.

Wit, then.

Care to guess who sent these?

The first bouquet could very well be Citrine.

Re: [Second Task]

[personal profile] rebells 2012-06-13 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
That would fit, yes.

The second . . . Peridot, perhaps. [looks at it again] Or Amethyst. Those aren't strong guesses, but I don't have better. Which of the knights do you know?

Re: [Second Task]

[personal profile] thinkoutsidethebox 2012-06-13 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
The second could be Peridot, I suppose. I might expect something slightly more negative... but perhaps the stoicism comes into play there.

I know a handful of knights, but none of them very well.

I only know Hakuren of the knights . . . I suppose he always could have sent the third. I'd look elsewhere, though.

Have you offended Peridot?

I wouldn't put it that way. Beatrice of Peridot is... an opponent of mine, I guess you could say. In a game that I remember playing.

[I AM NOT ALLOWING MYSELF TO BE INTERESTED IN ANY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE]

I see. I'll remember that, then. Do you have any better ideas for the third set?

Iolite, maybe...? It's hard to say.

[looks at the flowers again]

Maybe. Saya has suggested Heliodor, but it would have to be a certain set of people playing to get us that.

I don't know Heliodor very well, if that influences your decision. I could see a couple people from Iolite picking words like that, I think.

If it was reciprocal, it would make sense for one of them to be Iolite, since we had to pick for them.

Though in that case, maybe the second one should be Thorn.

Do a lot of us know Thorn? He played with Saya and Eve in the Jabberwock's game, but otherwise . . . .

But we had four to describe yesterday . . . if everything was reciprocal, wouldn't it be four today?

Frankness is a lot like bluntness, right? Some one of them is frank, and the other is probably envy.
