[After the requisite amount of time, a blinding flash fills your vision. When it clears again, you find yourself standing (or sitting, for the less balanced among you) on the beach … except you’re a hell of a lot smaller. And the sand dunes are a hell of a lot bigger.

You and your knights are each approximately an inch tall, with exceptions made for the lucky dragons and other large non-humanoids, who are the correct size, proportionally. A large flat stretch of sand is on one side of you, with a fresh mound of easily moldable sand next to that. Not that there’s any shortage of sand on the beach. In addition to that, you will find a box full of tools that you can use to craft your sandcastles, including shovels in all shapes and sizes, buckets, cups, and other basic sand stuff. There is also a box labeled SPECIAL SUPPLIES, which has the following items in it:

+ One flag (in team colors)
+ One collapsible drawbridge (push the button to make it life-size)
+ One collapsible portcullis (same as the drawbridge)
+ One cute plastic dragon (person-height)
+ One packet of “instant moat” (just add water!)

You will find that all the tools work at amazing speeds with very little effort. Constructing an epic multi-story castle is very doable even within this short time frame.]

[Towards the ocean, you see a large, vaguely squirmy appendage in the surf. It looks to be nearly as wide as you are tall … and many times as long. Meanwhile, the patch of sand on your far right has an eerie kind of glow to it.

Ruby's castle is in the shape of a giant gear! The entire thing is surrounded by a huge circular wall with square towers as the cogs of the gear. Inside each of the towers are the various essential rooms for a castle, a kitchen, bathroom, some bedrooms, as well as a dungeon that has the portcullis set into the ground as a trap door over a deep pit. In the bottom of the pit, the moat's been used to line the walls and the plastic dragon sits on the land in the middle to nom on any would-be enemies. In the center of the wall is a tiered circular clock tower. The outside of the tower is decorated with gear patterns and broken scales. Inside is a great ballroom with a spiral staircase that runs upward along the walls. Two tepha flowers have been set into the sides of the wall to provide light that shines down on a flat ruby stone in the middle of the room. The chains from the drawbridge have been used to make a pulley system that can lift up to the top of the clock tower, though the clock face is just drawn on.

The flowers, scales, and stone came from the outside.
