KUNZITE

[ When you step into the room, you'll find it dimly lit once more, with a spotlight over a simple wooden table with chairs around it. On the table are three cards, one with a single word on it, one with a short phrase, and one with the rules. You can also hear Peter's voice, though you can't see him. ]

You can't just be strong and brave to be a good adventurer, you know. You must also be very clever. I'm so very clever that I can get other people to say exactly what I want them to say all the time. But I must know if any of you are as clever as I am. To make it much easier for you, I will give you a word and a phrase that you must get other people to say to you. Every person you trick will get you points and you'll get more points for phrases!

… Oh, and no cheating! If another team figures out your word or phrase and tells it to me, they'll steal one of your end points! Oh, oh, and let's make a bet if you think you are the most clever! If you tell me the name of one specific person you can trick into saying your word or phrase, then I'll give you double the points for it! But if you fail, you'll lose points. Won't that be most interesting?

. . . Interesting choices . . .

What do you think about the betting aspect? Can you think of anyone who'd be easy to trick?
supersensitive: blank-faced and shaking [embarrassed/laughing/awkward] (what is this dignity of which you speak)

Ah... Well, it depends on the card, I guess. Pirate seems like it would be easier to get, so betting on that one might be pretty safe no matter who's targeted... The other one seems hard, though.

Agreed. Our phrase would only work under . . . certain circumstances.
supersensitive: surprised/confused/wary/comical (LIKE BITING TEN TONGUES AT ONCE)

Yeah... I mean, I guess it could work for acquaintances or whatever, but it'd take a certain kind of person to come out and ask it, I think...

Exactly. But the word seems easy enough . . . the trick will be keeping anyone from figuring out what it is.

I think I saw "Effie." He doesn't strike me as that bright . . . I might target him.
supersensitive: surprised/curious/confused (toofuh?)

[nods!]

I don't know him, but if you think so, go for it. Do we have to choose who does what card, or can we both try to get both of them...

My understanding is that we only have to choose people to target. We're free to try to trick them into saying whatever.
supersensitive: neutral/interested (well they ARE curiously strong)

All right, let's try, then... I don't know that I know anyone that would definitely not realize what was going on, but I'll at least talk to Kazuki, so if you want us to try another target I can pick him.

Kazuki... or, ah, Blizzard. He's a knight, if we can do that.

Madoka said "pirates" (assuming the plural doesn't DQ it)

Obsidian said pirates, if that counts too... Was Kazuki's word "scary"?
