Room 3

You find yourselves in a well acquainted parlor while the storm rages on outside. Mother's voice resounds from somewhere unseen.

"Dear Mother will be with you in a moment, my children. But until then, please do try to become well acquainted with one another."

[You'll find a small dance card tucked into the pocket of your outfit. It has on it a description of your role. Please refer to the DP journal for a post locked to your team with the contents of your card.]

And these aren't coincidences.

Mmhm. I suppose that's why we aren't supposed to overshare. Giving away the details would make this too easy.

Do you suppose she wants a show of polite manipulation?

That's the setup, isn't it?...

But we're seated with such stubborn, well-bred people.

We're seated with people far removed from an actual court, no matter their past.

And you're not, I take it.

We're all pretty far removed at this point.

Well, naturally. Though I really wonder how I got such a promotion...

[turns his card around in his fingers]

I wonder what sort of diligence she rewards.

I hope it's not her that got me the position... I'm sure she'd disapprove of me anyway.
