You find yourselves in a well acquainted parlor while the storm rages on outside. Mother's voice resounds from somewhere unseen.

"Dear Mother will be with you in a moment, my children. But until then, please do try to become well acquainted with one another."

Ah, yes, but there's something to be said for the attempt.

My lord Bligh, do you think attempts are sufficient for all things?

*pauses, hands twisting a little in the drapes*

Neither do I. It seems to me that there are some instances in which we, the ones with power, must aid those who struggle with their attempts.

It's the mark of a good person to try and better their grip on the responsibility handed them, is all.

Perhaps, but I do not think it means you are a bad person if you fail at first.
