*You find yourself on the floor of a massive, hanging copper cage.  It’s large enough to fit all of you, with room to walk around.  The single door out is at ground level, but it is locked.

Through the bars, you see only empty, flickering white space.  The chain the cage hangs by leads up into the same white space, until it’s lost to sight.  It’s oppressively warm.

In the center of the floor are two things of note: a large lit firepit, with no discernible source of fuel, and a box containing three objects.*

*Your items are: a bucket, a sizable bundle of straw, and a zippo lighter.

In the firepit, an image forms in reds and golds.  An incest, leaping.*

With only the items in the box, and your knowledge of this creature, how would you capture it?  What sort of pursuit would you take, or what kind of trap would you craft? Be imaginative.

You must use everything provided, and you have one hour.

When you are ready, throw your objects in the fire and then tell me your answer.

Hmm hmm hmmm... We could braid the straw into a rope and tie it to the bucket! And then hang it upside down from something. When an incest wanders under it we burn the rope and drop the bucket on it!

That's a bit more elaborate isn't it?

It could be quick if the part we're burning is thin... Could we make a net with straw or is that too ambitious...

We could also make a straw circle like your first idea! Someone sets that on fire when the incest runs inside, then gives fire-starting thing to the other guy to set fire to the rope!

Okay! We'll take some of the straw and make a circle on the ground, a little bigger than the diameter of the bucket! The rest of the straw is used to make a rope! First the rope is tied to the bucket so it can be hung upside down. One part of the rope is purposely made thin so it's easy to burn through!

We hang the bucket over the circle, and when an incest wanders in, first we light the circle of straw, then when the incest is distracted avoiding the fire, we drop the bucket on it!
