Tiger's Eye

[Upon entering your team's cloud of mist, you find yourselves transported to a bare stone room with a single stone table and chairs. (The chairs have been bolted to the floor.) On the table are a 16 red stones, 8 blue stones, and a 2 black stones. There are also indentations around the edge of the table, each one marked in the color of one of the teams.]

Are we using the black stones?

*thoughtful...*

They're basically random unless we deliberately try to hit someone everyone's going to protect. I don't know if it's worth the strategic gain.

Yeah, there's no way to predict...

*:T*

The only way I could see using them is picking a pair of teams at random, but if you think about it, they could get a lot more dangerous than red stones.

Yeah. It'd really be best if there were some way to make sure no teams put them in play; they're nasty.

...yeah, I agree, but Blizzard wants to use one. He gave up his pick so it seems fair...I don't like it much, though.

Speaking of which, can you pick a team to defend? If everyone does except Blizzard, the numbers work out even.

*frowns, turning it over*

Which teams were already picked?

Peridot, Amethyst, Sapphire, Ruby. Sleuth hasn't picked.

Shadow doesn't want to defend Carnelian, so that leaves two blue stones since we can't use one on ourselves. We were thinking of giving the spares to the new teams.

I was hoping to get one on Coral, but it does make sense to protect the new guys.

If you take Coral, that's two red from them; better than one blue.
