The Ring seems to fade out around you. More to the point, it seems like the world just zeroes in on your small dessert table and your team. You appear to be in a lantern-lit garden, though if you try to stray away from the table, you find yourself disoriented and turning back around to face it. There is a gentle sound of water running.

There is a book and quill on the table now, too. The pages are blank, for now. When writing does appear, you find you're able to understand the words regardless of whether you can read or not.

Well, let's see. I wonder if they'll think we're involved at all.

Why wouldn't we be involved?

Because we're not on their team.

But wouldn't we have things to face, too, or are we exempt because we're meant to be loyal to the personae?

I wonder what they'll say about us though. I think she's right. Serve the heroes, and refrain from commenting until called on.
