The Ring seems to fade out around you. More to the point, it seems like the world just zeroes in on your small dessert table and your team. You appear to be in a lantern-lit garden, though if you try to stray away from the table, you find yourself disoriented and turning back around to face it. There is a gentle sound of water running.
There is a book and quill on the table now, too. The pages are blank, for now. When writing does appear, you find you're able to understand the words regardless of whether you can read or not.
