Definitely yes with both of those. Possibly fear, too. You'll survive better if you know to be afraid.

And contentment, like Edmund said! You need to know when you're surviving okay, too!

What if it's too much fear? . . . Can we write on the blank paper?

Why wouldn't it want those?

...except it probably a dead animal that isn't bones. To eat.

Maybe it ate the bones thing too fast.

We could just say that it wants everything we gave it.

Five things we give them, five things it wants.

. . . It probably does want the sake more than it needs it.

It definitely wants to survive. So it wants survival, sake, contentment... it probably wants wisdom too so it can keep surviving.

And it wants a meal. That makes sense.

If we say it wants everything from the box then we have to give it even more from the box, but a lot of the stuff in there is stupid.

Survival, contentment, and wisdom are things everyone needs. We can keep those on the list of things we gave it. Anything it wants can come from the box or anywhere else, so we shouldn't limit ourselves by only picking from the box for that. Like . . . maybe it wants my necklace since it's pretty. Or Clue's brownies to relax with.

If it only wants what we gave it, then it's pretty happy, right?

But yeah... the selection wasn't great. Maybe it wants a nice house and supportive friends, too.

Oh, I just liked Clue's thing about saying it wants the same things we gave it. It seemed easy to me, and that way we're being really nice to the bird. Like we filled all its desires, you know?

It can want whatever you say it wants if you don't want to do that though.

We might be able to help it get what it wants in the next part though, so I wasn't thinking about that.

But since the sake's there, no point in letting it go to waste.

[I can't even think of anything to say against this except that it's not originally how the game's meant and... yeah]
