This experience was ... It wasn't entirely unpleasant. I think others experienced worse than I did and got some very precious things taken away from them. For me, it was neither particularly traumatic nor particularly exhilarating; I didn't notice much of a change from day to day. Living without one's skills for so long and having them returned piecemeal, it's a little easier to accept a sudden change in ability.
It could have been a worse, experience, definitely, and it seems like some people had a lot of fun. But in the end it's a sort of fun that I'd hope we're able to make on our own, without the influence of a game like this.
This experience could have been improved by ... It would have been a little helpful to know what we had received, but trying to figure it out was a bit fun as well.
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... If it was taken from me in certain circumstances, I would die… Though not permanently, I assume, as this place has methods of returning people to their previous state. I have no particular designs on the skill; it wasn't mine originally to begin with.

THREAD 1Lloyd thread specifically! Lloyd is trying to knit and this leads to SOCK WARS! One of Ginshu's huge things as a youth was games and having fun and this is the first time it's actually been engaged in Aather successfully, because of the negative associations with games here. (Emerald ToD tried, and she tried later with Viridian, but neither time succeeded.) She loev Lloyd lots kyaa ♥
THREAD 2Ayame talks to Fawn! Everything is new because Fawn is new, but in this thread specifically she's starting to get more comfortable with Fawn instead of just going along with things because Fawn-- like Silk Cat before her-- is initially overwhelming to Ayame. But here, with Hound's cooking and perception of time, things are quiet enough that Ayame is bringing up her own thoughts/opinions/feelings without a constant deferral.

Getting cranky at Yuri for teasing him for almost a week now. Yuri and Chariot are best friends who have never gotten seriously annoyed at each other before. But there is only so much one man can take and giant frisbee spiders on his bed is the limit. :T

This experience was ... I guess it wasn't bad. I wasn't completely sure what I had regained or lost before now, but I think not having 'it' again after living with 'it' for a few days might have finally answered that question. Learning how to dance wasn't bad either, though I never really identified what some of those steps were. Something I just don't remember? Tch, I should've asked Edmund. Haa, at least I was able to make use of what you gave me while I still had it. And at least Ferret and Fawn both know the basics of the waltz now. That's definitely gonna come in handy for a future game, right?
So there. It wasn't so bad. It did look pretty annoying for others, though. Wonder if you got a kick out of that. . . tch.

This experience was ... Very interesting! I really enjoyed the chance to get to try out something new and it turned out to be a very good conversation starter. Thank you for the opportunity.
This experience could have been improved by ... Being able to keep my original skill as well as gaining someone else's. Or else choosing which skill to lose. I kept thinking of ways that my normal magic could have been useful with my new acrobatic skill so I would have preferred to have both at once. Also Sion lost something of himself that I don't think anyone should have to lose.
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... Train even harder at fighting with a sword instead of magic. Magic isn't necessary to be strong, so I could learn to be strong even without it.

THREAD 1 Th-this is pretty obvious.
THREAD 2 The Zack thread, which later involves Cherry, and links to a sex thread... Yeah so Yuri drank the lust potion and then decided to just deal with it by himself because he felt bad for trolling Chariot and Chariot was kind of MAD AT HIM and then. They worked out their frustration through sex. So its sort of a culmination.

Intense thread about manipulation, his bond with Itachi and how fucked up their whole relationship actually is. It's important because Sasuke decides to be honest with Itachi here.

Souya tells Dera to act more like Acedia '-' Pretty much this is nudging Dera towards the path of just giving up with his concerns over Ruby members in general
STRONGER PUSH INTO GIVING UP THIS IS A PRETTY COMPLICATED THREAD. The important things to understand are that Wrath's been frustrated with Luke for a long time now and feels rejected and undervalued and misunderstood by him, and even in this conversation he feels like he's not being heard clearly (which is mostly his fault because he's not the best at communicating things at all). He was SO SURE that he was justified in the things he was upset about, but Luke just talked until it seemed to him that he'd been irrational and unfair 8|a So now he's frustrated and angry and confused because he still feels like he was right, but at the same time thinks this is another instance of "everyone but me thinks this other way (???)"
It basically highlighted to him the feeling that he doesn't fit in at all and needs to change himself in order to make things easier on Ruby. He feels abnormal :|a And he can't really understand why aside from knowing that he needs to be more normal!! So he's going to try to . . . feel less concern for Ruby/members of Ruby since that's a main cause of conflict right now, and also to try to force a change in himself somehow.

This experience was ... Enlightening, and quite a bit of fun. I had not realized before the restrictions that those with magic face in Aather, since I do not have any such affected skills. As for the skill I received . . . I enjoyed the opportunity. A bit too much, admittedly; I did make myself ill a few times overusing it. I have never before had the experience of using magic and have often felt . . . somewhat left out because of it, especially considering my circumstances.
This experience could have been improved by ... I am not really sure what could have improved it. It was what it was; the onus of making it positive or negative lay mostly with ourselves, except for an unlucky few.
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... Ah . . . I admit, though it's embarrassing . . . it does feel strange to be missing it . . . I do miss it, yes. I would not be distraught, but it makes me uncomfortable, in an odd way.

This experience was ... Illuminating, I suppose. I was unaware of how restrictive and unpleasant the power caps were here, as well as how much my medical knowledge influences my life. Honestly, the things I believed and attempted to do during this "game"…!
This experience could have been improved by ... I would highly suggest that you not meddle with our feelings. Particularly if you are going to do something foolish like turn a usually warm person into a psychopath. Was that really necessary? Surely you could have entertained yourself better if he had gotten something harmless.

This experience was ... It could've been worse, I guess. The strength was useful for going between the lake and the vegetable patch, but I didn't really use it for much else. The fighting wasn't that bad, either. So it was fine for me, but if you're asking about other people, a lot of them weren't so lucky. Overall, it could've been better.
This experience could have been improved by ... Getting to choose whose skill we received and what skills we lost, to avoid most of the problems that came up. Knowing how long the game would last would have helped, too. It would have also been better if people didn't lose things like limbs. I don't really think I need to elaborate on that.
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... like to know what skill I lost in the first place. But if I haven't noticed it yet, it probably isn't anything important. So, I wouldn't do anything different.

lack of feeling fixes everything With Percy! Discussion of Kurei's potential skill loss led to a conversation about Citrine, and Drift is sort of iffy on it at the moment! This thread (as a result of a combination of earlier threads) ended up convincing Drift to just bottle up his feelings because whenever he expressed being upset he apparently Ruined Everything, and clearly teams fight all the time so he should just shush up. His morality is also hinged on his extreme pacifism, so his lack of it also made an appearance in this thread.

Drift doesn't like physical contact at random, but it is also a way to make him more fond of you which did kind of influence his compliment later in the thread. feelings ruin everything Basically, Drift has been having issues with Citrine (some with actual basis and some not) and he ended up dumping some of it on Spitfire. Midway he decides that while he is honestly annoyed/hurt by some things Certain Teammates have done, this sort of thing is totally normal (the idea that teams have squabbles was a new thing to him) and being upset is just exacerbating matters. This was part of the basis for his decision to lie about not being upset with Vriska or Riku anymore in his above thread with Percy.
vs natsume (aka feelings ruin everything pt. ii) This was a sort of became mundane thread about skills and the weather (games, Personae, etc. Aatherweather!!) until Drift sort of flipped and getting upset :x Because the Citrine thing and his general dislike for Personae are just making the idea of games stressful and everything stressful and \o/ But he was kind of upset with Natsume anyway for not being straightforward in an earlier thread and now he is upset with Natsume forever!! because he's really bad at . . . stopping at being upset . . . He doesn't think much of it now but it is going to be extra upsetting because he really does value Natsume as a friend and his feelings ruined everything again so maybe he should stop that :x forever :x

This experience was ... quite perplexing. My past actions and decisions were entirely devoid of meaning. I also happened to experience an unexplainable sense of emptiness that could not be vanquished or ignored. Furthermore, my words would distress others for no discernible reason. The world was unexplainable and mystifying, but not in an intellectually engaging way.
Elekid was not a complete waste of my time as I had originally anticipated. After acquiring further information, it became obvious that he could be used in small operations, as a bait to larger predators or as a decoy to confound adversaries.
Being better informed about others’ skills allows one to envisage better defense strategies in the event of conflict or merely use the available human resources in a more efficient manner.
This experience could have been improved by ... being completely avoided.
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... make sure to stop talking whenever my interlocutor makes an upset face and take more detailed notes on others’ skills.

This experience was ... something I wasn't really expecting. You do like to cause mischief don't you? While I think it was extremely troublesome, I can't say that I didn't learn anything from it.
You don't realize just how important feelings can be until you've lost the ability to express them. I didn't even realize I had been lying to people about my feelings until someone had pointed it out to me. Even with the people I can trust, I couldn't help but try to cover things up. Can lying to someone really be that easy?
Also, I was always worried that my skill might have troubled someone. I know it can be unpleasant so I hope it didn't bother them.
This experience could have been improved by ... not taking strange drinks...I should be more careful...
More seriously though, possibly by knowing more about myself and the people around me. Constantly lying to others with a straight face was probably frustrating to them. Maybe if I knew myself better and had more confidence in the people around me, I wouldn't have had to use the skill at all.
Also, I'm really worried that my actions might have caused me to lose something ... very important to me.
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... try my best to learn about people's feelings without the need of that skill. It seems so hard to understand them, and so I feel like I should at least try.

Natsume and Drift talking about the skill game which leads to game/personae discussion in which it leads to an argument and misunderstandings! One of the reasons why this is kind of important is because Natsume is beginning to see that his memories from home and experiences in Aather are a lot more similar than he had first thought! Despite the fact that people can see the personae, there is still animosity towards them. He can't help but feel weird now because he has grown to be fond of personae, but people treat it like that's the wrong feeling to have.
Also it is his first sort of argument with someone, and he worries that he lost one of his friends. :(
With Kit! Again discussing about the game and skills in general, but just like with Drift, he keeps reaching this friction with people when it comes to the personae. However, it's a little diff. with Kit because he's a lot less critical about it so it gives Natsume the hope that Kit'll be able to see the nicer parts of personae too!

This experience could have been improved by ... I think in general it would have been better if skills that could be dangerous to the user weren't given to people. Those who have had it for a long time know and are prepared for the danger, but it could do a lot of harm to someone getting it for the first time who has never had it before! I mean specifically the skill I lost, but it applies to myself too -- for example, Souya said it was like running a marathon when I had never jogged before. It was frequently overwhelming and I'm not sure I was able to adjust very well, though perhaps that was the point. I don't feel like I have the right to protest this guilt as I am very responsible for it, but it may have been a skill and experience that somebody else would have benefitted from more than I am able to...
In the future if I had this skill taken from me again I would ... Hopefully track them down so I can teach them of the risks. It would be nice if you let us know who had received our skills -- some of the most secret ones means that it's impossible to know, and so we can't interact with them about it even if we want to.

It was awkward missing my usual knowledge, especially with Sneasel around, and I don't like the idea of something of mine being taken from me like that. Especially after I've "earned" it back. But Josh's power was amazing. I've never been able to do anything like that before. Being able to control an element just by thinking about it… I always knew there were people here who could do things like that, but actually getting to experience it is different. I'm jealous.

wind magic with Lloyd: This is one of the first times Flame's been comfortable enough around Lloyd to sort of… be dorky around him, like pulling him down into the pile of pillows. He's always sort of distantly admired Lloyd, so goofing off with him is new and nice.
Ventus and the fog: Flame learned that Ven and Josh are boyfriends! He had no idea bout that before, and it was kind of surprising for him -- not because he thought he knew Ven very well or anything, but because while he's used to people older than him pairing off, it's the first time in Aather he's hear someone his own age toss around "boyfriend" so casually.

THREAD 1 I don't know that anything really changed in a major way, but it's definitely the most motivated Viola's been to help Paul instead of tease him, because she loev pokémon and was troubled by his loss-- I know as a player I went in there with the intention of her teasing him mercilessly and it somehow turned into I WILL HELP YOU SAVE THE POKÉMON-- and Paul actually let her help and didn't grump excessively at her or anything. …it's cute, I think. Plus sparkles as weapons.
THREAD 2 Timi received anger management and is angry! Viola attempts to help despite not really knowing much about anger management. This isn't a change, either; it's something that's influenced by a emotion-altering skill and thus a little different from their normal threads because it's not something they normally have to deal with, but it's really hard to actually change Viola's thoughts on people she cares about.
